Table of contents
When does Tomodachi Life Living the Dream come out?
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream launches on April 16, but depending on where you are, you might be able to jump in and start playing as early as April 15. An official launch time hasn’t been confirmed, but most Nintendo games tend to go live at midnight for each region’s most eastern timezone, which translates to 11pm CT on April 15 or 4am UTC on April 16.
The official launch time likely won’t be shared ahead of release, as they usually aren’t for most games, but since this is when the majority of Nintendo titles release, there’s a high likelihood this one will, too. If a different time is announced, we’ll update with it here, so you can keep checking back leading up to the launch to ensure you’re up to date.

Tomodachi Life Living the Dream platforms
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream is only available for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Like all Nintendo titles, this game is a platform exclusive, so you must have one of these two consoles to dive in. Luckily, it is available on both versions, so you can still join in on the fun if you’re using the original Switch.
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream features
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream is a cozy social simulation game where you can design Mii characters to populate and live out their lives on an island. These characters can be you, your friends, your family, original creations, or ones straight out of shows, movies, and other such content. You get to fully design each character, down to their voice and personality traits.
Once each character arrives on the island, the fun and chaos begin, as you can then help them get to know other residents. Design your island, buy new clothes for characters, learn their likes and dislikes, and help your Miis develop meaningful bonds, whether they be friendship or something more.
You’re given a lot of freedom in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream, so what unfolds around your island is entirely up to you. Overall, this game is all about chaos, drama, silliness, and creativity, so get ready to let your imagination run wild when it arrives on April 16.

Windrose‘s map might appear pretty small at first, but it expands quickly once you explore new areas. After a certain point, traveling from one point to another will take a lot of time, whether you travel the distance on land or by ship.
Thankfully, there’s a pretty elaborate fast travel system that’s been added from the demo to the early access version.
How does fast travel work in Windrose
If you’ve played the demo of Windrose, you’ll be pretty well aware of the system in place. If you’re someone completely new, read on. Once you’ve completed the first quest and started How My Shore Adventure Began (can’t miss as it’s part of the main story), you’ll be able to smelt your first copper ingot.
Once you know how to get Copper Ingot, you’ll be able to make a Fast Travel Bell using the Workbench. You’ll need 10 Copper Ingots and three Ropes to create a bell. Incidentally, you can also get Fast Travel Bell as random loot.
To set up a network, you’ll also need to create a Fast Travel Point. You can do that from the build menu. To create a Fast Travel Point, you’ll need 20 Wood and one Fast Travel Bell.
Before you can fast travel, you’ll need at least two points in two different locations. You can create two points on the same island, but they have to be distant from one another. Fast Travel Points can only be placed near water.
When you’re on your ship, you can fast travel from any location by selecting the point. This works as long as you’re not being chased by an enemy or in active combat. If you’re walking on foot, you’ll have to travel to a Fast Travel Point manually. I am unsure as to why the system works like this, but it is what it is.
Additionally, you can also find random Fast Travel Points existing in several locations. The different faction islands also have them, and you can use those after activating them by manually traveling to those locations. Once done, those travel points will be automatically added to your network.
