In any game where items rotate on a daily basis, there’s always the question of whether or not time travel is an option and how it might affect your gameplay. If you’re eager to get some new items in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream, you may be wondering if it’s possible in this game.

Time travel is oftentimes a tricky and sometimes even risky endeavor, depending on the game you’re trying to use it for. It’s not a feature you want to test out without knowing what you’re in for, so here’s whether or not you can time travel in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream, and everything else you need to know about using it.

Does Tomodachi Life Living the Dream have time travel?

Yes, you can time travel in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream by adjusting your time and date in the Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 settings. However, this is not a feature you should be using for any other reason besides editing the time and date to match your actual local time, as doing so results in some frustrating issues and penalties. After time traveling and opening Tomodachi Life Living the Dream, you’ll spot a pop-up message letting you know that system time has been changed, which means the penalties will be in effect.

Are there penalties for time traveling in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream?

There are quite a few harsh penalties and problems you’ll encounter if you choose to time travel:

• All shops won’t refresh for about 24 hours after the time traveling has occurred.
• Your Miis hunger doesn’t update for 24 hours, which means you can’t feed them more if they’re full, making it harder to level them up.
• No new daily shop specials for 24 hours, as the shops remain the same for this period.

Time traveling again at any point resets the timer, which means the penalties start all over again. If you do need to adjust your time because you time traveled or accidentally unsynced in from your area, only do so once, then leave it alone after that to avoid running into problems.

Should you time travel in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream?

No, you should not time travel for Tomodachi Life Living the Dream. While many other games present pros for time traveling, there are no benefits for doing so in this game, only drawbacks in the form of penalties that negatively impact your gameplay. Nothing about time travelking is permanently game-breaking, luckily, but it does hinder your progress for a full day after doing so, with no actual benefits to make it worth doing.

Does time traveling for other games affect Tomodachi Life Living the Dream?

You can safely time travel for other games where time travel works, like Animal Crossing: New Horizons or Pokopia, as long as you make sure to adjust the time and date back to your actual timezone before opening Tomodachi Life Living the Dream. If you open the game at any point while time traveling for other games, you’ll be hit with the penalties, but as long as you leave it closed and only open it after readjusting, you’ll be fine and avoid all issues.

Tumbaga Ingot is one of those rare materials that you’ll need to find in Windrose, which is required to ascend different equipment. It’s one of the several types of Ingots you can obtain in the game. However, you can’t smelt it, which makes the process more difficult.

Let’s find out how you can get this unique ingot on your pirate adventure.

How to find Tumbaga Ingots in Windrose

So, you can’t smelt and make Tumbaga Ingots. In fact, you can only find it in specific locations. To find Tumbaga Ingots, you’ll have to head inside Ancient Ruins. Ruins are marked on the map, but their locations will be different due to the nature of the game’s map.

When you reach an Ancient Ruins, you’ll find a cellar entrance. Just look around the ruins, and you’ll find the cellar. Take the entrance to reach underground, and look around. Look for chests that are located in the ruins. Be careful, as you’ll find enemies (I found them during my rounds, but this can once again be different in your case).

Open the chests, and you’ll find Tumbaga Ingots. On my save, they’re not guaranteed, but the spawn rate appears to be quite common. However, they only appear to spawn inside the specific chests found in Ancient Ruins. This could change in the future since Windrose is in early access, and there will be updates.

How to use Tumbaga Ingots in Windrose

When you find a Tumbaga Ingot and read its description, it says that it’s required for ascending weapons. Since I am in the mid-game stage, I haven’t actively reached the stage where the weapons can be ascended. It’s tied behind a quest.

While it will take some time before you can ascend weapons, you can upgrade them quite early in the game. If you choose to upgrade them, you can improve their stats and how they function. Ascension, on the other hand, adds new skills for the weapons.
