How to find the Forgotten Temple in Hytale and restore Memories

Hytale village

The map of Hytale has plenty of important locations for you to visit, and you should begin with the Forgotten Temple.

This specific POI is pretty close to where you spawn. The place is useful when you want to exchange Memories. This guide explains the complete process and how to find the Forgotten Temple.

Forgotten Temple location in Hytale

While the Forgotten Temple is going to be always pretty close to your spawn point, its actual location is going to be different for every player. However, there’s an easy way to find out the place.

The top of your screen has a navigation bar that shows a few important waypoints. The basic ones will lead to your bed and show death markers (if any). The Forgotten Temple will also be shown from the moment you log in.

The marker resembles a teleporter with a small circle in the middle, and four arrow-like shapes surrounding it. Keep following the marker, and you’ll eventually reach the Forgotten Temple. While you can visit the place pretty early, you should prepare in advance.

I have encountered plenty of enemies while trying to reach the spot. The exact enemies will differ, but it’s paramount for you to take proper gear to not die on your journey.

Once you’re close, you’ll find an opening that leads you to the statue inside. Head down the stairs and you’ll eventually reach a blue portal. You’ll find a Golem at the entrance. Avoid its charge, and try not to fight it. You shouldn’t have a problem trying to skip past the Golem, as it’s really slow.

How to restore Memories in Hytale

You’ll find the Heart of Orbis statue inside the Forgotten Temple. It will start glowing as you approach it. Press the F key on your keyboard to interact with it, and a message will pop up. At this point, you’ll have unlocked the Memories feature.

Once unlocked, you can collect Memories from various sources. You can find them from different enemies and creatures. Some NPCs can also reward you with memories.

To restore them, head back to the Heart of Orbis and hit the displayed button. Keep restoring more Memories, and you’ll get new rewards based on your progression. This can be new craftable items, teleporters, and recipes.
