How to get and use Spotter Relay in ARC Raiders

Spotter Relays in ARC Raiders

The demand for Spotter Relay in ARC Raiders has increased following the launch of the Headwinds update, and you’ll need to find plenty of them on your raids.

As with almost any crafting material in the game, there’s no fixed location for obtaining a Spotter Relay. Let’s look at how you can find the item and then use it in ARC Raiders.

How to find the Spotter Relay in ARC Raiders

While many crafting materials can be looted from the map, there’s no such luck for getting a Spotter Relay. The only way to obtain one is by destroying Spotters when they appear on the map. Spotters are flying ARCs that try to detect your location.

Spotters on their own aren’t dangerous. However, you’ll have to hit their core (located in the center) to take them down. Additionally, Spotters have to be eliminated quickly since they will reveal their location to a Bombardier. The latter is one of the most difficult ARCs to take down, so you need to be careful.

I have found most of the Spotters on the Buried City map. You will usually find Spotters in one or more of the locations marked on the image above. You can also look in areas surrounding Main Street. To take them down, you can aim from shade (which reduces your chances of detection).

The Spaceport map is also a good choice, as a Bombardier (and Spotters) typically spawns at the West Hangar location during Night Raids. If you’re on Blue Gate, the Village is a good spot. The location also has a locked area that can provide you with new blueprints, like the Safekeeper.

As of writing, you’re going to need at least 12 Spotter Relays. Two of those Relays will be required to complete the Combat Recon quest. To finish the quest, you’ll have to provide Shani with two Spotter Relays.

The remaining ten will be required for completing Stage 2 of the Trophy Display project. Submitting the Relays will help you get three Vita Sprays and also go one step closer to unlocking the completionist rewards.

Expired Respirators in ARC Raiders

Expired Respirator might not be a new item in ARC Raiders, but the demand for it has gone up after the Headwinds update went live.

The Trophy Display project, added as part of the Headwinds update, requires you to find and submit Expired Respirators. Doing so will earn you different rewards that might be immensely beneficial for your in-game grind.

While there’s an element of randomness associated with how you can find, this guide will help raise the odds of your success.

Best Expired Respirator locations in ARC Raiders

There’s no fixed area where you’re guaranteed to find Expired Respirators. However, it’s a medical equipment that can typically be found in commercial areas. I usually used to find this item in different spots of the Buried City. The Hospital is a POI that seems to have the highest chances of success.

Another great spot is the Testing Annex location on Dam Battlegrounds. The spot, located in the southern part of the map, can also help you with a few Expired Respirators. That said, it ultimately depends on your luck.

If you’re on the Spaceport or the Blue Gate map, I will concentrate on hitting the Commercial and Residential areas. You’ll want to go carefully through all the containers and other breachable spots that you might find.

How to use Expired Respirators in ARC Raiders

As of writing, the most important use of the Expired Respirators is to complete the second stage of the Trophy Display project. You’ll need to submit three of these items once you’ve unlocked Stage 2. Doing so will get you three Photoelectric Cloak, and bring you one step closer to unlocking the final rewards.

Once done, you can recycle Expired Respirators to get four Fabric and eight Rubber Parts. Both items are staples for several crafting recipes, and you should stack them as much as possible.
