Olaf’s Grand Exhibition quest walkthrough in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Standing in olaf's museum in disney dreamlight valley

After years of collecting unique resources from around the village, the Whispers of the Wind update finally added a place to display them all in Disney Dreamlight Valley. To unlock and use this museum, you need to complete the Olaf’s Grand Exhibition quest.

Since this building wasn’t always part of the game, there’s a good chance you have no idea how it works or how to get it set up in your village. If any part of this special facility has you confused, you can learn more about it by tackling the introductory mission associated with it, so here’s a complete walkthrough for the Olaf’s Grand Exhibition quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to complete Olaf’s Grand Exhibition in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Talk to Olaf

The Grand Exhibition building is all Olaf’s idea, so start the mission by finding and chatting with him about it. Luckily, Scrooge McDuck has agreed to pay all necessary fees required to build it, so all you have to do is find a nice spot to get it set up.

Place the Grand Exhibition building in your valley

After chatting with Olaf about his plans, you’re officially ready to get the museum set up. Open your inventory, click on the Furniture tab, and locate Olaf’s quest icon. Place the already fully built Grand Exhibition building anywhere you like in your valley. Just like most buildings, this one can be freely moved around at any time, so you can always adjust its placement later.

Talk to Olaf inside the Grand Exhibition

Once the building is set up, head inside. After you’re done taking in the view, walk over to the desk in the middle of the room to chat with Olaf. He’s ready to start showing you around and getting you familiar with how this building works.

Follow him over to the Peaceful Meadow door once you’re done talking with him. Then, head through the door and chat with Olaf again to see what you should do next. He tasks you with three side quests at this point:

  • Complete the Peaceful Meadow Aquarium in the Grand Exhibition.
  • Complete the Peaceful Meadow Diorama in the Grand Exhibition.
  • Complete the Peaceful Meadow Habitat in the Grand Exhibition.

The process for these tasks looks a bit different, so here’s a full breakdown for each one.

Complete the Peaceful Meadow Aquarium in the Grand Exhibition

First, focus on the Peaceful Meadow Aquarium, which starts off by tasking you with finding an array of unique Gems. For this part of the exhibit, you need to go out and collect:

  • Garnet
  • Shiny Garnet
  • Peridot
  • Shiny Peridot
  • Onyx

All of these Gems can be found by mining rock spots around the Peaceful Meadow biome. If you already have some in storage, you can simply pull them out of chests instead of going and gathering fresh ones.

Once you have all of the required Gems, walk over to the first podium in the Peaceful Meadow room. Interact with the sparkling spot here to transfer the items you gathered. Then, walk over to the sparkling scroll underneath the aquarium that’s revealed after placing the Gems. You now need to get some Peaceful Meadow fish to add to the display, which are:

  • Bass
  • Bream
  • Rainbow Trout
  • Catfish

You can place these fish in the exhibit by interacting with the scroll in front of the aquarium. As soon as they’re placed, a red chest will spawn in front of the Gems, signalling that you’ve officially completed the Peaceful Meadow Aquarium portion of the Grand Exhibition. Open the chest to claim a smaller Peaceful Meadow Aquarium item you can place in your house.

Complete the Peaceful Meadow Diorama in the Grand Exhibition

Next up, you need to work on the Peaceful Meadow Diorama, which calls for some flowers found throughout this biome. Forage around the wild in this region or open any flower storage chests you might have to find:

  • Purple Rising Penstemon
  • Green Rising Penstemon
  • Yellow Daisy
  • Red Daisy
  • White Daisy

Place these five flowers in the middle of the Peaceful Meadow room. Then, chat with Olaf to unlock the next stage of the Diorama, which tasks you with completing four separate panels.

Repair each Peaceful Meadow Diorama Blueprint

Next, you need to repair four Peaceful Meadow panels. The required materials for each panel can be viewed by interacting with the sparkling scrolls behind the flower podium. This is by far the most costly part of the Peaceful Meadow room, so it might take you a bit of time to finish this step. Here’s everything that’s needed for each panel.

Panel Theme Materials
First panel Mirabel and the Golden Doorknob 67 Softwood
21 Soil
Five Rich Soil
Seven Dream Shards
Second panel Pillar of Friendship 31 Softwood
24 Stone
Two Garnet
Three Peridot
Third panel Night Thorns 14 Softwood
10 Coal Ore
Five Night Shards
One Onyx
Fourth panel Goofy fishing 51 Softwood
31 Seaweed
Five Red Algae
13 Dream Shards

When you’re done with all four panels, a red chest will appear over by the flowers. Open the chest to claim your own versions of all the panels you just made, which can be placed as decorations anywhere in the valley.

Complete the Peaceful Meadow Habitat in the Grand Exhibition

The last stage of the Peaceful Meadow room starts by asking you to gather ingredients from around the biome. All of the items you need to place on the podium situated near the right end of the room are:

  • Apple
  • Carrot
  • Raspberry
  • Wheat
  • Lettuce
  • Basil

Then, interact with the scroll in front of the exhibit to proceed to the next step, which asks you to place all critters from the Peaceful Meadow biome. This includes all five Rabbits found throughout the biome:

  • Black Rabbit
  • Classic Rabbit
  • Brown Rabbit
  • White Rabbit
  • Calico Rabbit

To place the Rabbits here, you need to befriend each one, thus making them your Companions. Once all five have been placed, a red chest will spawn nearby, granting you the massive Rabbit habitat as a placeable item that can be put anywhere in your valley.

Once the Aquarium, Diorama, and Habitat sections of the Peaceful Meadow room have all been completed, one final red chest will spawn near the middle of the room. You can open it to claim your grand prize, which is a new outfit for your character. Chat with Olaf one more time to finish the quest.
