Where to find Kalkonyx in Arknights Endfield

Similar to how boletes can be used to ascend operators past the initial phase, Arknights Endfield players must expend Kalkonyx to tune their weapons and make sure their gear keeps up as they advance.

But as the rare resources are finite and respawn slowly, knowing exactly where to look can save you a lot of time and guarantee you will be able to always have enough to ascend that 6-star pull. Here are all of the Kalkonyx locations in Arknights Endfield and how to farm the mineral efficiently.

All Arknights Endfield Kalkonyx locations

You can get Kalkonyx in Arknights Endfield by mining at rare sites in the first four Valley IV areas. More specifically, you can find two sites on The Hub, located in the Core AC Area and Originium Byproduct Processing Center, as well as one on Velley Pass, one in the Originium Research Park, and one on Aburrey Quarry. You can check out the exact location of each mentioned spawn below, each initially featuring 6 Kalkonyx ores.

Keep in mind that, apart from the Kalkonyx, you will also need to expend 5x Cast Dies to tune any weapon to level 20/40 in Endfield. You can get the dies by either completing the Protocol Space: Weapon Tune Challenge at The Hub or via the Acquisition Center. The latter won’t demand paid currencies or gacha rewards, so there’s no reason to worry.

The best way to farm Kalkonyx in Arknights Endfield

Once you are done with the spots above, the best way to farm Kalkonyx in Arknights Endfield is via the Growth Chamber. You can unlock the chamber by leveling up your Control Nexus level to 2, something only achievable after advancing in the main story.

Once the facility is unlocked, you will be able to literally farm the material by using its seeds. You can get the seeds by expending Kalkonyxv while in the chamber, with each unit netting you three. They won’t be available immediately, though, with each seed needing over 17 hours to grow.

If you want, you can also buy 3 units of the material at Anton’s Garden Shop in the Hub’s Worker Dorms. The area can be easily reached by going past the restocking center. Each unit will then cost 300 Stock Bills.

The gun is arguably one of the coolest weapons to use in LORT, and you can use it irrespective of the adventurer you pick.

However, the weapon will remain locked at first, and doesn’t appear as random loot until you complete a specific achievement. This guide will make it easy for you to obtain the gun for the first time in LORT, which will then add it to the pool of possible spawns.

How to unlock the gun in LORT

Almost every weapon in LORT is locked when you start playing for the first time. To unlock the weapon, you’ll need to complete a specific task. For the gun, you’ll need to discover it on the map. This isn’t an easy task since LORT doesn’t have a traditional map (at least not to my knowledge).

The gun always appears on top of the grave shown in the image above. This will be true until you have found it for the first time. When you find it, you can add it to your adventurer. It doesn’t matter if you’re playing a melee or a ranged adventurer. Of course, using it with a ranged character is going to have certain advantages.

How to get the gun in LORT

Once you’ve unlocked the gun, it will appear randomly on your run. It could be obtained from a chest that you unlock with gold. The item can also drop from certain enemies randomly. Weapon items typically drop from harder enemies, so try to slay some of the more challenging foes. Ultimately, it’s all down to luck whether you get it once you have unlocked it.
