Warzone BO7 season 3 early patch notes – Verdansk update, Avalon in BR, 6 weapons, and more

Warzone BO7 season 3 Avalon

Black Ops Royale’s addition to Warzone in Season Two Reloaded brought a new way to play, and now it’s coming to normal BR.

Warzone’s new Avalon map will join the big map rotation in season three of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, but that’s not all there is to look forward to. Verdansk is getting some new places to drop into, there’s six new weapons to unlock and use, and several new fun game modes to play.

Here’s everything Warzone fans can expect from BO7’s season three update on April 2.

Warzone patch notes – BO7 season 3

Verdansk updates

A new POI, Launch Pad, is being added to Verdansk and brings multiple new buildings and structures to the shoreline south of Promenade, replacing the old Hills POI with several new areas to loot and explore: Control Tower, Hangar, Gantry, Depot, and Vats.

New battle royale map

Avalon, the map from Black Ops Royale and BO7’s Endgame mode, will be coming to regular battle royale at the mid-season Season Three Reloaded update in April, introducing a rotation of big maps in regular BR.

6 new weapons

All of BO7 season three’s new weapons will be available in Warzone:

  • MK35 ISR assault rifle (battle pass)
  • VST SMG (battle pass)
  • Strider 300 sniper rifle (in-season)
  • 1911 pistol (in-season)
  • Siren special weapon (mid-season)
  • Katana melee weapon (mid-season)

Gulag in Avalon

As part of Avalon joining BR, it will also be getting the Gulag treatment, with three unique variants of the small map where players can fight for their redeployment survival: Server Room, Cryo Lab, and Meeting Room.

Wall Jump and Grapple Hook

BO7’s Wall Jump mechanic and Grapple Hook tactical item are both being added to Verdansk, along with Resurgence modes at the beginning of the season, refreshing movement tech and bringing new ways to play.

Limited time modes

  • Launch Squad (launch)

    • “Get your bearings on the new Launch Pad POI with the Season 03 LaunchSquad LTM. In this action-packed mode, squads drop into Verdansk’s new POI in a race to activate the Launch Sequence. The Launch Sequence activates once enough Launch Codes have been collected from eliminated enemies and other means.”

  • Hot Pursuit (mid-season)

    • “Squads of four drop in and choose their journey as cops or robbers, and players respawn as long as one team member is alive. Whether you’re hopping into a police vehicle to track down the robbers or jumping in a getaway car to find valuables, two constants hold true for everyone: Vehicular combat is key to success, and survival is all that matters.”

  • Prop Hunt Royale (mid-season)

    • “In this round-based mode, teams alternate between Hunters and Props. Props get 30 seconds to hide while Hunters are locked in their spawn. Once unleashed, the Hunters must attempt to discover and eliminate the menemy team disguised as props. The Props win if at least one teammate survives until the end of the round, while the Hunters win if all Props are eliminated. The first team to win three rounds wins the match!”

  • Iron Gauntlet (in-season)

    • Drop into a competitive Battle Royale tournament as a Trio with adjusted rules that favor skill over luck, including scarce resources, rapid circle collapses, increased base health for every Operator, loot rebalancing, one hit kill protection, and other changes keeping the action focused on decision making and gunplay.”

Jackpot in Scritchy Scratchy

The road to building your empire in Scritchy Scratchy is filled with opening as many scratchy tickets as you can. However, you’ll have to be strategic about which tickets you buy to scratch. They come with different odds, luck, and prices, and this guide will provide you with all the necessary information.

Once you scratch the Final Chance, accept the death, and move on to the next catalog. The more prestige bonuses you have, the quicker you’ll be able to go through the cheaper cards of any catalog.

While costlier tickets will tend to have better luck, there’s a cap applicable to all of them. Once you hit that cap, there won’t be any incremental effects for the extra luck that you might have.
