Black Ops 7 season 3 early patch notes – Plaza and Gridlock, 6 new weapons, and more

BO7 season 3 Valkyries

It feels like Season Two Reloaded just happened, but season three of Black Ops 7 is already here.

A new content drop across all of Call of Duty’s modes is coming in the new season on April 2, and there’s a massive amount of stuff for CoDheads to look forward to, no matter what made is their favorite.

Here’s a look at the new content coming to Black Ops 7’s multiplayer and Endgame in season three.

BO7 season 3 patch notes

Six weapons

There’s a new weapon for all kinds of play styles in the new season, with two available on launch and the rest coming throughout the season as part of events.

  • MK35 ISR assault rifle (battle pass)
  • VST SMG (battle pass)
  • Strider 300 sniper rifle (in-season)
  • 1911 pistol (in-season)
  • Siren special weapon (mid-season)
  • Katana melee weapon (mid-season)

Eight maps

Black Ops 2 classic map Plaza, along with Black Ops 4’sGridlock, highlight the returning and remade maps available at launch. Other classics, Summit and Hacienda, will come at mid-season.

  • Beacon (new)
  • Abyss (new)
  • Mission: Trident (Skirmish mode, new)
  • Plaza (remake)
  • Gridlock (remake)
  • Onsen (mid-season)
  • Summit (mid-season, remake)
  • Hacienda (mid-season, remake)

New game modes

Classic CoD mode Demolition returns in season three, along with some fun party modes to shake things up periodically throughout the next couple of months.

  • Demolition
  • Aim High
  • Snipers Only
  • Freerun (mid-season)
  • Heat Wave Havoc (mid-season)
  • Freeze Tag (mid-season)

New Scorestreak

The new Ion Core Scorestreak will be made available as part of a weekly challenge reward.

  • Description: A powerful radioactive device that damages enemies in a large area. Radiation pulses pass through walls, expanding from a small to large radius before dissipating and recharging.
  • Score: 1,175
  • Overclock Abilities

    • Plutonium Core: A longer duration grants an additional radiation pulse.
    • Chemical Catalyst: Shorter downtime between radiation pulses.

Limited-time events

Along with a new set of weekly challenges, several events are planned for season three, bringing new weapons and other free unlocks.

  • Survivors of Ash (Zombies)

    • Rewards: Weapon camos, weapon blueprint

  • The Lost Outpost (all modes)

    • Rewards: Strider 300 sniper rifle, camos, blueprint, operator skin

  • Call of Duty Endowment Challenge event
  • Freerun event

Endgame updates

The PvE Endgame mode is going free-to-play for a limited time to begin the season, but there’s also new content coming to it as well. Players will be able to reset their Combat Rating or Skill Track, but a new feature called Operations sounds most exciting.

“Operations run on a series of strict objectives designed to be cleared across multiple matches,” Treyarch explained. “Secure rewards for every objective you complete and systematically power up your Operator for the fight ahead. Clear the final objective to finish the job and unlock direct access to the new Link Forger Glitch Fracture.”

Operations will include rewards like a new blueprint, emblem, XP tokens, and more. Elsewhere, there’s a new skill track, Minor ability, and Major ability to keep the mode fresh.

Jackpot in Scritchy Scratchy

The road to building your empire in Scritchy Scratchy is filled with opening as many scratchy tickets as you can. However, you’ll have to be strategic about which tickets you buy to scratch. They come with different odds, luck, and prices, and this guide will provide you with all the necessary information.

All scratch tickets in Scritchy Scratchy

Tickets are divided across catalogs, and there are four of them. The tables below have the names of all the tickets available for every catalog, along with the individual prices.

To proceed across all the catalogs, you’ll first have to buy all available scratch tickets (for a single catalog). This will then allow you to buy the Final Chance as relevant for that catalog. Once you scratch the Final Chance, accept the death, and move on to the next catalog. The more prestige bonuses you have, the quicker you’ll be able to go through the cheaper cards of any catalog.

While costlier tickets will tend to have better luck, there’s a cap applicable to all of them. Once you hit that cap, there won’t be any incremental effects for the extra luck that you might have.
