A-Tier Races

A-Tier Races Ranking Reasons Race Stats
Dragonborn
Legendary
• The best Greatsword/Scythe race with near-best DPS due to the skill cooldown reduction and fire damage
• That said while you have more HP, you have less mobility and no lifesteal so I ranked Shadow higher
• Still Dragonborn is the second-best race in the game and if you have high base Fire damage it can compete with SB DPS wise
+15% Skill Cooldown Speed
+25% Max Health
+20% Scythe Damage
+10% Fire Damage
+20% Greatsword Damage
Djinn
Fabled (Epic)
• The third best race in the game and the second-best for Scythe with a great mix of DPS boosts
• I value skill cooldown reduction over health and speed so I put it above Lunarian
+15% Skill Cooldown Speed
+20% Scythe Damage
+25% Dash Distance

B-Tier Races

Lunarian
Fabled (Epic)
• Competes for the third-best race in the game if you have base Fire damage
• In fact it’s the second-best race in the game for Katana builds
• That said Djinn has cooldowns which can out-DPS Lunarian in duels
+10% Movement Speed
+10% Max Health
+20% Katana Damage
+10% Fire Damage
Oni
Rare
• With no Fire damage boost Oni still has a 20% damage boost for greatswords +15% Max Health
+20% Greatsword Damage
-5% Movement Speed

Slime Seas Weapon Stance Tier List

The best Weapon/Stance/Mastery in Slime Seas depends on which race you’re going for. This is the case in both PVP and PVE. Above you’ll see the best weapon based on the race you have. The second-best weapon is just every other weapon but it’s not worth it since you don’t get the damage boost. The only exception is Shadowborn where you shouldn’t use Greatswords and Scythes due to a massive debuff. As for PVP, here are the skill damage breakdowns for all weapons:

  • Katana Skill Damage (PVP)

    • Flashblade Surge (Mastery 0) – 800 Damage
    • Surge Wave (Mastery 3) – 1,600 Damage
    • Thousand Slashes (Mastery 5) – 2,700 Damage

  • Scythe Skill Damage (PVP)

    • Death’s Grasp (Mastery 0) – 700 Damage
    • Spinning Strike (Mastery 3) – 1,300 Damage
    • Void Surge (Mastery 5) – 1,200 Damage

  • Greatsword Skill Damage (PVP)

    • Earth Breaker (Mastery 0) – 900 Damage
    • Sweeping Slam (Mastery 3) – 1,300 Damage
    • Spiraling (Mastery 5) – 1,700 Damage

  • Berserker Skill Damage (PVP)

    • Impaling Thrust (Mastery 0) – 1,200 Damage
    • Leaping Slam (Mastery 3) – 900 Damage
    • Colossal Slam (Mastery 5) – 1,200 Damage

In PVP, your stats are limited to 10,000 Health and 325 Melee Damage while ability damage varies per Weapon.

Players exploring the world of Windrose

Tanned Leather is one of the more important resources in Windrose, and it has different purposes. Obtaining this leather isn’t too difficult, but you’ll need to clear a fair bit of in-game content and build an additional item.

Let’s find out how you can get a steady supply of Tanned Leather in the game.

How to get Tanned Leather in Windrose

Tanned Leather can be crafted in Windrose. For starters, you’ll need to collect raw hides. Raw hide can be obtained quite easily, but you’ll need to hunt. If you’re in the early game stage, either wolves or deer work. They’re not so dangerous, and you can kill them quite easily. You’ll also need your skinning knife in hand to get the hide.

Now that you have your hide, you’ll need to get a Tanning Rack. This item has to be unlocked via its recipe, and it allows you to dry raw hide. This process is necessary when you want to convert raw hide into Tanned Leather.

You can make Clay Bottles from the Alchemy Table. Once it’s done, you can now make Tannin with Hardwood Bark and a Clay Bottle. You’ll need this item for the production of Tanned Leather.

Once you have built and placed your Tanning Rack, add the raw hide to one of its slots. Add either a tanning agent or a source of fuel that will be consumed during the process. If you have Tannin, it will work just fine.

You’ll need to wait for some time for the process to complete. Once done, you’ll have your Tanned Leather.

How to use Tanned Leather in Windrose

Tanned Leather has plenty of use when it comes to crafting armor. Almost every mid and end-game item will need Tanned Leather. The demand for it goes up once you unlock Foothills, which is the second biome in the game.

However, you can start collecting the required materials like Clay and Rough Hides early to make things easier when you’ll actually need Tanned Leather in your inventory.
