How to unlock all seasonal modifiers in The Divsion 2 Y8S1 Rise Up

Division 2 where two characters are interacting between themselves

The Y8S1 Rise Up season has begun on April 2 in The Division 2, and it brings a batch of fresh modifiers for you to explore. As usual, there’s a primary modifier along with a bunch of active and passive modifiers.

Let’s look at all the ways to unlock all the modifiers and how they work.

How do seasonal modifiers work in The Division 2 Y8S1

All modifiers have unique effects that largely revolve around the global option. The global modifier might be the same for all, but it’s all about how you change the values by mixing the active and passive modifiers. These attributes determine how your three modules, namely offense, defense, and utility works.

When you’re just getting started, you’ll find all three modules to have the base value of eight, and weapon handling, max armor, and skill damage as the default attributes. However, you’ll be able to change these values when you level up the active modifiers.

If you’re unsatisfied with the changes offered by the active modifiers, you can take help from the passive options to further tweak the numbers. You can also use the modifiers to change the default attribute to something that suits your build. For example, it will be fruitful to use any modifier that improves headshot damage if you’re using a marksman rifle.

At the start of the season, your choices in terms of the modifiers will be limited. When you open your inventory, you’ll find the global modifier, followed by four more slots. You can equip one active and three passive modifiers in those slots.

To get your first set of choices, you have to complete the Journey Missions III tasks. You can get more from the shop located in the White House by exchanging BTSU firmware, which is a seasonal currency. When you complete an objective from Journey III and beyond, you’ll get 150 BTSU Firmware. You can also get them by completing the Scout tasks that are released weekly.

Once purchased/earned, open your inventory. The modifier section is at the top of the screen between your specialization and the SHD watch. Choose the modifier you want to equip, and then activate it. You can also deactivate them to use another option from your inventory.

Aiming with the gun in Road to Vostok

Realistic FPS title Road to Vostok is coming soon to PC players via Steam, and not long is left for the upcoming launch to go live. Set in a zone between Finland and Russia, the title will test your survival skills.

But first, let’s look at when Road to Vostok goes live worldwide.

Road to Vostok release countdown

Road to Vostok will be dropping worldwide on Tuesday, April 7. There won’t be any console launch, and the following countdown will expire once the game goes live.

[hurrytimer id=”1200960″]

The countdown is based on the following timings.

  • 7am PT
  • 9am CT
  • 10am ET
  • 3pm UTC
  • 4pm CET

The timings mentioned here are based on the information available in SteamDB. Any change to the launch timings will be duly updated on this guide.

What to expect from Road to Vostok

Road to Vostok aims to be a hyper-realistic survival shooter that’s set in a post-apocalyptic world. There are different zones, as everyone starts in Area 05. This deserted zone is close to Finland, and it’s relatively safe for survival. Your journey will go past the Border Zone into Vostok, and it will be anything but easy.

The Border Zone will have its own set of challenges with nature and man-made forces trying to thwart your journey. Vostok, in comparison, will be a high-risk, high-reward zone. Vostok is also a permadeath game where you’ll lose everything if you die. However, it’s also the same place where you’ll find the best loot.

While looting is your key to success, you have to be mindful of the dynamic nature of the maps. Different times of the day will have different worries, as will the weather and seasons. Dynamic events will also be taking place, raising challenges along the way.

With plenty of customization options in place, you can make your survival your very own. While survival won’t be easy, Road to Vostok aims to be a true hardcore sandbox experience where there’s no one single way of playing.

If you want to check it out, there’s a free demo that’s currently available on Steam.
