All dyes in Crimson Desert and how to get them

Alpine Ibex in Crimson Desert

Dyes are one of the coolest ways to customize the looks of your armor pieces in Crimson Desert. There are several ways to get them, including stealing them or crafting them using their respective recipes. However, there’s a cool alternative method to get them, which costs almost nothing at all.

How to get all dyes in Crimson Desert for free

For this method, you don’t need to spend any coins, since it involves gifting meat items to all the dyers. Since you can source meat for free, this method is the easiest way to get all the available dyes. You don’t even need any crafting materials as well.

The basic method is to reach trust level 100 with a dyer. When you do that, they will reward you with a random dye. The method, in principle, works in the same fashion as getting a new pet.

So, how do you get the meat items? The first step is to learn the Blinding Flash Finisher skill. You’ll need an Abyss Artifact and Level 5 Focus. Next, go to an area where there are plenty of different animals. Be careful not to get spotted while picking them up and butchering them, as it will then count as a crime.

Once you butcher the animals, use the Blinding Flash skill to direct sunlight on the meat and cook it until it turns brown. Pick up the cooked meat and look for vendors that are tagged as Dyer or Expert Dyer on the map. Give them the cooked meat, and it will increase their trust level. Repeat this for all the vendors, get the dyes, and save the game.

Reload your save, and you’ll have a new set of NPCs spawning with more dyes. Repeat the method, and you’ll soon find every dye possible. While this method is completely random, it’s the only free one to my knowledge that consistently rewards you with new colors.

Aiming with the gun in Road to Vostok

Realistic FPS title Road to Vostok is coming soon to PC players via Steam, and not long is left for the upcoming launch to go live. Set in a zone between Finland and Russia, the title will test your survival skills.

But first, let’s look at when Road to Vostok goes live worldwide.

Road to Vostok release countdown

Road to Vostok will be dropping worldwide on Tuesday, April 7. There won’t be any console launch, and the following countdown will expire once the game goes live.

[hurrytimer id=”1200960″]

The countdown is based on the following timings.

  • 7am PT
  • 9am CT
  • 10am ET
  • 3pm UTC
  • 4pm CET

The timings mentioned here are based on the information available in SteamDB. Any change to the launch timings will be duly updated on this guide.

What to expect from Road to Vostok

Road to Vostok aims to be a hyper-realistic survival shooter that’s set in a post-apocalyptic world. There are different zones, as everyone starts in Area 05. This deserted zone is close to Finland, and it’s relatively safe for survival. Your journey will go past the Border Zone into Vostok, and it will be anything but easy.

The Border Zone will have its own set of challenges with nature and man-made forces trying to thwart your journey. Vostok, in comparison, will be a high-risk, high-reward zone. Vostok is also a permadeath game where you’ll lose everything if you die. However, it’s also the same place where you’ll find the best loot.

While looting is your key to success, you have to be mindful of the dynamic nature of the maps. Different times of the day will have different worries, as will the weather and seasons. Dynamic events will also be taking place, raising challenges along the way.

With plenty of customization options in place, you can make your survival your very own. While survival won’t be easy, Road to Vostok aims to be a true hardcore sandbox experience where there’s no one single way of playing.

If you want to check it out, there’s a free demo that’s currently available on Steam.
