BO7 Zombies patch notes – Season 3 Reloaded
New map: Totenreich
“The time loop is broken, and following the Dark Heart’s defeat in Paradox Junction, the Twins transport the crew to a new destination: Eidskallen, a Norse fishing village on a blustery, windswept coast that has been inhabited since the late Bronze Age,” Activision said of the latest round-based map. “The entire settlement has been ripped from reality, casting the Group 935 research base and their hulking mechanical machinations into the Dark Aether.”
Totenreich has its own Easter Egg quest (live on April 30 at 11am CT) and unlockables, including the “Ambition” operator skin for Richtofen, a calling card, and a bunch of XP, plus more.
Be ready to fight some really big bad guys.
New Wonder Weapon: Jotunn Star
Totenreich’s Wonder Weapon is a whip-like melee weapon that can “take on even the most cold-hearted of enemies, stealing their souls for use in generating devastating attacks.” Treyarch describes Jotunn Star as a “Norse artifact fortunately hidden from Group 935’s covetous hands by those on the island familiar with its myths and ‘old ways,'” it’s a weapon that casts light and deadly fire.
The new Wonder Weapon has several abilities:
- Lantern Swing: A dexterous wielder can swing the weapon in front of them, using the blunt instrument to drop advancing undead.
- Flame Charge: The Jotunn Star drains the essence of creatures it eliminates, storing the energy within the weapon. This energy can be stored to provide warmth and to enable the Flame Tendril and Flame Strike attacks.
- Flame Tendril: When two or more fully charged lanterns are being utilized, a fiery cord connects them and slowly drains the life of anything that gets in its way
- Flame Strike: When sufficiently charged, the stored energy within the Jotunn Star can be discharged as a concentrated, explosive fireball, damaging and setting foes alight.
New enemy type: Necropincer
The new location brings a new zombified foe, the Draugr-like Necropincer. This new enemy type “wields a trident, piercing and stabbing adversaries who venture too close, while throwing the weapon at more distant foes.”
“It seems the presence and the sheer brutality of Group 935 have awakened an unnatural aberration that rises from the cold seas to aid in the protection of Eidskallen,” Activision teased. “Said to be summoned by those ‘followers of the old ways,’ these frightening chimeras now attack on sight, perhaps driven mad after further experimentation by Group 935 itself.”
New Field Upgrade: Wild Fire
The newest Field Upgrade, Wild Fire, allows you to “imbue yourself with fire, increasing your speed and burning all enemies that get too close” in the icy tundra of Totenreich.
“When the swarm is on you, or you need to push through the thick of it, Wild Fire may keep you safe,” Activision said. “Activating this Field Upgrade radiates pulses of heat from your location that also engulfs enemies near the wielder, while you enjoy a small increase in speed. Wild Fire becomes even more powerful with its Augments, capable of incinerating anything that stands in your way.”
- Major Augments
- Fireball!: While Wild Fire is active, fireballs will launch along with your attacks.
- Firestorm: On activation, deploy a fire tornado that pulls in and immolates enemies.
- Free Radical: While Wild Fire is active, the effects of the attack occasionally drop pools of fire on the ground.
- Flashover: Starting with the initial activation, every third Wild Fire pulse deals significantly more damage in a larger radius.
- Minor Augments
- Oxidizer: Increase Wild Fire’s duration.
- Backdraft: On activation, nearby zombies are knocked down, and larger enemies are stunned.
- Molten Core: Enemies are dealt more damage the closer they get to you.
- Heat Surge: While Wild Fire is active, your movement speed is increased even further.

There’s a host of different stats in Vampire Crawlers that will define your chances of completing a specific stage. If you’ve played Vampire Survivors, you’ll be well familiar with most of these stats. If not, then you can refer to the following section to understand what each attribute means.
Vampire Crawlers stats explained
The table below briefly explains what every stat means so that you can always stay on top of your deck’s strength and prowess.
| Stat | What it Does |
|---|---|
| Max Health | It raises your Max Health by 10% per rank. You’ll still need to heal and restore your health after increasing the cap. |
| Recovery | Heals 1 HP per rank after each encounter. Extremely useful to passively restore your lost HP after every completed battle. |
| Hand | Determines the number of cards you’ll pull when a fresh turn begins. |
| Mana | Raises the max mana available for you to use. |
| Armor | Nullify all incoming attacks. You gain +1 Armor per rank, and also increase it by playing Armor cards. |
| Might | Raise the base damage of all weapons by 10% per level. |
| Area | Dish out AoE damage from your attacks, which increases by 10% per rank. |
| Amount | Adds extra projectiles for your weapon cards. |
| Duration | Allows you to increase the duration of your Crawler’s stay by one per rank. |
| Magnet | You can draw extra cards per turn. |
| Revival | Get extra lives. |
| Luck | Raises all positive stats, along with increasing the quality of your drops. It increases by 20% per rank. |
| Growth | You can get extra XP. |
| Greed | You’ll get 10% extra Gold Coins per rank. |
| Reroll | You can reroll your draw to try and get other options. You get +2 reroll choices per rank. |
| Skip | You can skip level-up rewards to get extra XP and Gold. |
| Banish | You can banish cards that you want to avoid from showing up on your run. |
| Curse | A negative stat that will amplify the damage of your enemy’s attacks. However, you’ll get more XP and Gold. |
Typically, the Power Ups you use will have a direct impact on the stat values of your current run. When you upgrade a Power Up, it will permanently raise the applicable stat for your character (the buffs will be available across all runs). However, your attributes will also depend on the cards you draw and the crawler(s) you use.
