Best Silent build in Slay the Spire 2: Best cards, deck, and more

Silent in Slay the Spire 2

While Silent in Slay the Spire 2 can do incredible stuff in a battle, you’ll need to pay a lot of attention to her deck. She has some painful weaknesses that can be hard to navigate for beginners. However, you can shine with her if you set up your deck correctly.

Let’s look at how to get the most out of her by shoring up her weaknesses.

How to use Silent in Slay the Spire 2

By nature, Silent is a rogue who can do damage in different ways. However, her decks are heavily reliant on synergy. If you fill the deck with bad cards, chances are that you’ll struggle with her. She also lacks damage potential during the starting fights, and she also doesn’t have any way to heal herself (aside from resting at the camp).

However, she offers a lot of tempo that suits my playstyle well. She can also play a lot of cards every turn, which I love. Lastly, her Sly mechanic (newly added to Slay the Spire 2) is my favorite.

Best Silent deck in Slay the Spire 2

There are many options available when it comes to Silent. However, this is a guide about the best deck, and there’s one frontrunner. The Sly mechanic allows you to play a card for free if it gets discarded from your hand in a turn. This mechanic effectively allows you to build a discard deck, and it works amazingly well once the setup is ready.

Early commons and uncommons

Card Reason
Flick-Flack This 1 Energy card does 7 damage to all enemies. If you can’t Sly it, the card is still a great value.
Untouchable When you Sly this card, you gain 9 Block. This will be the main defensive card in your deck.
Acrobatics For 1 Energy, it fills your hand with three cards and discards 1 (hence, it triggers Sly).
Dagger Throw This 1 Energy card does 9 damage, draws a card, and discards a card. It’s the perfect addition to a Sly deck.
Haze Applies 4 Poison to all enemies, but you must Sly it due to its high Energy cost.
Tactician You can Sly this card to get a bonus Energy.
Calculated Gamble You can use this card in panic situations as it activates all your Sly cards by replacing your hand.
Speedster Since you’ll draw a lot of cards, having Speedster active will deal 2 damage for every drawn card.

Best cards

Card Reason
Tools of the Trade Allows you to passively draw a card and discard one each turn, which enables you to trigger any Sly if applicable.
Master Planner Every non-Sly skill becomes Sly.
Serpent Form It costs 3 Energy to set up, but it will do 4 damage every time you play a card, which will be quite a lot in a Sly deck.
Reflex Draws two cards when you Sly it.

Best relics for Silent in Slay the Spire 2

The following relics have been chosen keeping a Sly deck in mind.

  • Tingsha: This relic does 3 damage for every card you discard.
  • Tough Bandages: This relic gains 3 Block every time you discard.
  • The Abacus: This relic will give you 6 Block every time you shuffle your deck, which again, will happen quite a lot.

One important note: A good Sly deck has to be extremely thin. The onus is to remove as many strike cards as possible from your deck.

Marathon key art

The Anti-Virus pack is an important item to find in Marathon if you plan on taking part in the Lockdown event.

While participating in the event is optional, having the Anti-Virus is a non-negotiable due to how Lockdown works. The event takes place on the Dire Marsh map, so expect to find several dangers from runners and UESC alike. Let’s first look at how you can find the Anti-Virus Packs.

How to find Anti-Virus Packs in Marathon

There are two different ways to get an Anti-Virus Pack in Marathon.

Faction Upgrades

Once you’ve unlocked the MIDA faction, you can start working towards unlocking the required upgrade. To do so, you’ll need to take your MIDA faction rank to 5 or above. You’ll also need 23 Unstable Lead and 1500 Credits to get the upgrade. You can find the upgrade in the Armory section from the MIDA faction page.

Lootboxes

If you’re a beginner, it will take some time for you to unlock MIDA and get the required resources. Until you reach that point, you can rely on Lockboxes. However, you’ll first need to open the box. You’ll also have to rely on your luck since Lockboxes don’t necessarily guarantee an Anti-Virus Pack.

You can also find them from lootable containers and boxes, but they appear to be extremely rare. Hence, you’ll best have to hope for some great luck.

How to use Anti-Virus Packs in Marathon

The Anti-Virus Pack is exclusively required for the Lockdown event, as I mentioned earlier. When the event begins on Dire Marsh, consume the item. You’ll then need to look for a Lockdown Drive that has to be inserted into a blue terminal. Having the Anti-Virus consumable allows you to preserve your health and shield in the corrupted field.

While you try to complete the task (of finding the drive), UESC enemies will spawn at your location. Eliminate all to get some loot for yourself, and you can repeat this for up to two more times to try and find something nice.
