A new Battlefield 6 update is on the horizon, and it looks to be introducing some significant changes to the game, but some fans in the community aren’t happy with what EA has planned.
Game Update 1.2.3.0 is planned for Tuesday, April 14, and its patch notes are quite extensive.
- New Content Arrives: Operation Augur arrives alongside the LTV, the Ripper 14”, and a new Battle Pass Bonus Path.
- Progression Feels More Rewarding: Weapon XP and Vehicle XP are now earned through active use alongside kills and assists, XP rates have been increased slightly across Multiplayer, and Battle Royale and Gauntlet progression now places more weight on time spent in a match.
- Weapons and Gadgets Receive a Broad Polish Pass: Defibrillators and the AJ-03 COAG Med Pen have been updated, while attachments, animations, unlock presentation, and challenge tracking have all seen further improvements.
You now earn weapon and vehicle XP for just using specific items. Previously, a large chunk of the XP you gained was purely through kills and assists. This made the time spent searching for enemies in a match, repairing vehicles, or helping out teammates essentially worthless in terms of gaining XP. Now, you’ll earn more XP just by having a weapon equipped or driving a vehicle during a match.
As for Defibrillators, the developers outlined the current overpowered nature of reviving teammates in Battlefield 6 and felt a change was needed. Now, just like in older Battlefield titles, the Defibrillator has a set amount of uses and must be charged up before you can revive another teammate. The charges also determine the health given to a revived teammate, with teammates being fully healed when the Defibrillator is at 100%.
While these changes do solve a lot of problems with the current state of Battlefield 6, the game has seemingly left a sour taste in many fans’ mouths. The primary reactions to the 1.2.3.0 patch notes are mostly negative, with the community calling out the developers for a lack of content since launch.
The 1.2.3.0 update is adding some new content, including the LTV vehicle, the Ripper 14″ weapon, and Operation Augur, but fans on social media aren’t pleased with what they’re receiving. One player seems to be over Battlefield altogether, saying, “This content after such a successful launch honestly makes me never want to be part of this franchise ever again,” with others in the community saying it’s “too little, too late” for Battlefield 6.
The time since launch has been full of bugs, unsatisfying content, and updates that are few and far between. While the 1.2.3.0 looks to be a step in the right direction, Battlefield 6 seemingly has a long road ahead to get back in the community’s good graces.

Doubles battles in Pokémon Champions can be a true test to master, and more so if you’re new to the competitive scene. This is the official format of all championships, and you have to take on 2v2 battles. Naturally, you need to be far more strategic when it comes to team building.
This guide will help you figure out the very best Pokémon that you can use in the 2v2 battles.
Best Pokémon to use in Doubles battles in Champions
The table below has a list of the best Pokémon that you can use in Doubles.
| Name | Type | Pros | Cons |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kingambit | Dark Steel | First, it’s available for free from several starter lineups. You can use Definat to benefit from moves that lower the opponent’s attack. Completely immune to two elements, with resistances for nine. Kowtow Cleave is a guaranteed hit, which is useful to get damage done. | Avoid matchups against Fighting as it has a 4x weakness. Low speed and Special Defense makes it a bad choice against those with high Special Attack. |
| Garchomp | Dragon Ground | Available for free from several starter lineups. Great stats that are perfect for a bulky attacker. Offers moves that do incredible AoE damage and hits mutiple enemies. Rough Skin is the perfect counter for Rough Skin. | Avoid matchups against Ice due to 4x weakness. Struggles against Pokémon with decent speeds. |
| Incineroar | Fire Dark | One of the most used Pokémon in the competitive scene, and for very good reason. Can control the match’s momentum due to bulk and speed. Has six resistances and one immunity. Trigger Intimidate to counter Physical attackers. | Needs a very good damage-dealing partner. Avoid matches with Defiant as it’s a direct counter. |
| Dragonite | Dragon Flying | Offered to all for free. Awesome Mega Evolution potential. Great attack and bulk in the non-mega form. | Avoid matchups against Ice due to 4x weakness. Don’t Mega Evolve if the opponent Pokémon can set the weather. |
| Torkoal | Fire | A very simple, but effective, Pokémon in doubles. Use Drought to set the sun, which sets it up for Eruption. Works well as a bulky support as well. | Poor matchup against Watertypoe moves. Poor against other Pokémon that can set the weather. |
In Doubles, always focus on the roles of your Pokémon. You don’t need to do damage with both, but having complementary pairs will be necessary. You can also check this list to find the Pokémon that are considered universally best in the current meta.
You can also use Replica Codes to use teams created by pro players. If you’re someone who loves playing Singles, here’s our recommendation of the best choices.
