The StarNote app has all kinds of important missions for you to tackle in Starsand Island, all of which help you earn Starsand to level up your Professions. One of the trickier quests to tackle from this menu asks you to open varying amounts of Gachapons.

The village in Starsand Island is quite large, with plenty of unique locations you can venture to. Tracking down specific items or areas can be tough because of this, as you’re often not given much guidance about where to find what you’re seeking. If you’re struggling to figure out how to use this feature, here’s how to find and open Gachapons in Starsand Island.

Where to get Gachapons in Starsand Island

Gachapons can be found at Chrono Arcade, the business run by Loren located slightly northeast of the central Starsand Town area. Inside this building, you can find two Gacha machines sitting on the counter next to the cash register that you can interact with, and close to where Loren usually hangs out behind the counter.

Head through the front doors of the building, walk past the arcade machines in the middle, and over to the counter to spot the two Gacha machines. They’re brightly colored and look like gumball dispensers, so once you’re in the right area, it’s easy to find them.

How to open Gachapons in Starsand Island

You can open any Gachapon by interacting with one of the Gacha machines, selecting one, and spending 20 tokens. There are five Gachapon variants, including the Golden Gachapon, Purple Gachapon, Blue Gachapon, Green Gachapon, and White Gachapon. They all cost the same price.

Once you’ve purchased a Gachapon, open your inventory and locate it. Then, open the submenu on the Gachapon to actually crack it open and reveal what’s inside. Gachapons grant you random loot items as a reward, so there’s no way to know what you’ll find inside until you open one.

How to get tokens to buy Gachapons in Starsand Island

Tokens you can spend on Gachapons can be obtained from the cash register on the counter right next to the Gacha machines. You can grab 20 free tokens from the register each day, and spend 10 gold for each additional token you want to buy.

You’ll also need these tokens to play the arcade games, so try to visit the arcade frequently to obtain and use this currency. There are lots of prizes locked behind Gachapons, and getting high scores in the games, which means you’ll want to make use of the tokens you get quite often.

What do Gachapons give you in Starsand Island?

Gachapons give you all kinds of random loot in Starsand Island. You can essentially think of them as mystery boxes that can contain just about anything, including ores like Tin or Copper, new crafting recipes like the Wok Spatula, resources like Stone, and other such goodies. The loot you get is entirely unpredictable, so how good or bad your prize is will vary each time.

Diablo Warlock

Ready to toe the line between good and evil? Warlocks are invading Diablo for its 30th anniversary, beginning today, and leading to BlizzCon later this year.

As part of today’s 30th anniversary spotlight, Blizzard revealed that Diablo 2: Reign of the Warlock is a new expansion for Diablo 2: Resurrected, and it’s available right now. But it doesn’t end there, because the Warlock class is also coming to Diablo Immortal later this year. And of course, it will be the second new class in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred in April, joining the already-available Paladin.

The update for the Diablo 2 remaster is packed with quality of life updates, as is Immortal’s (coming in June), but Diablo 4’s big upcoming expansion is where the bulk of the eyes are. And Blizzard says the new DLC has been built on what it’s learned over the past few years since D4 launched, including the new class.

Diablo 4’s Warlock is “fully unleashed,” with powers of metal chains and flames, and Blizzard called it “a heavy metal album come to life” during the stream. The dev team will deep dive on the new class on March 5, detailing its abilities, powers, and gear.

Lord of Hatred’s new zone, Skovos (the birthplace of humanity), was revealed during the stream, and it’s heavily inspired by Mediterranean landscapes, featuring “more monster variety than ever,” and a big change from the last DLC’s swampy region.

Blizzard also said Lord of Hatred’s system updates will change the game, including a “completely overhauled, massively expanded” skill tree, offering more customization from the beginning. They said that “meaningful choices,” including customization options are coming, and they’re coming to all classes regardless of whether players own the DLC or not.

Other changes coming to Lord of Hatred are loot filters, a new Talisman system, and more to be revealed. Needless to say, it sounds like the Diablo team is cooking up some fun stuff for the franchise’s big birthday this year.

You can check out the full showcase on YouTube above, including all of the details about Reign of the Warlock, Diablo 2: Resurrected’s new DLC.
