Starsand Island offers a vast, cozy world to explore, and this lively environment is rich with essential resources you’ll need to stock up on. You’ll quickly run out of storage, but luckily, you can increase your bag space to gain additional room.

Upgrading your bag space early on is crucial, as there are quite a few levels to this system, and you’ll want to work your way through them as quickly as you can so you can avoid situations where you might be exploring and run out of room. You’re never told how to actually do it, though, so here’s how to increase bag space in Starsand Island.

How to get more bag storage in Starsand Island

You can increase your bag space by selecting the “Expand” option on your bag and spending the required materials. This process is a bit tricky to figure out the first time around, as there are loads of different tabs and options to choose from in your bag, so here’s a full breakdown of how to get it done.

  • Open your bag. The bag icon is located in the upper right corner and can be accessed by clicking on it or pressing the button displayed next to it. On PC, this button is B, but it varies across other platforms. You can also access your bag by selecting the bag icon on your phone.
  • Find the “Expand” option. There are lots of tabs and sections in your bag, but the only one you need here is the “Expand” option, which is located in the bottom left corner.
  • Spend the required materials. Each bag upgrade has different required materials, with each level up requiring tougher items to unlock. If you don’t have the required resources, you’ll have to get to work gathering them and return to this step once you have what’s needed.

As soon as you spend the required resources, your bag will instantly be upgraded. You can upgrade it at any time, anywhere, even if you’re on the go, as long as you have the materials to do so. As you get to the higher-level bag upgrades, though, you’ll likely need to craft materials, which means you’ll need to find crafters and other machines to get the upgrade resources you’re after.

All bag upgrades in Starsand Island

In total, there are eight bag upgrades you can unlock for Starsand Island. Each new upgrade adds additional slots to your bag and costs a varying amount of unique resources. We’re working on unlocking all of them and will update with everything you need to know about each one here as we do.

2 Five Carbon Line
Five Stone Brick
Five Softwood Plank

3 TBA 45
4 TBA 50

6 TBA 60

What’s the maximum bag space in Starsand Island?

The storage cap on your bag is 70, which is unlocked once you apply the eighth and final bag upgrade. When you first start playing, you only have 30 slots, but this number steadily increases as you work your way through the upgrades. For additional storage, you’ll need to craft and place chests on your home lot.

Diablo Warlock

Ready to toe the line between good and evil? Warlocks are invading Diablo for its 30th anniversary, beginning today, and leading to BlizzCon later this year.

As part of today’s 30th anniversary spotlight, Blizzard revealed that Diablo 2: Reign of the Warlock is a new expansion for Diablo 2: Resurrected, and it’s available right now. But it doesn’t end there, because the Warlock class is also coming to Diablo Immortal later this year. And of course, it will be the second new class in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred in April, joining the already-available Paladin.

The update for the Diablo 2 remaster is packed with quality of life updates, as is Immortal’s (coming in June), but Diablo 4’s big upcoming expansion is where the bulk of the eyes are. And Blizzard says the new DLC has been built on what it’s learned over the past few years since D4 launched, including the new class.

Diablo 4’s Warlock is “fully unleashed,” with powers of metal chains and flames, and Blizzard called it “a heavy metal album come to life” during the stream. The dev team will deep dive on the new class on March 5, detailing its abilities, powers, and gear.

Lord of Hatred’s new zone, Skovos (the birthplace of humanity), was revealed during the stream, and it’s heavily inspired by Mediterranean landscapes, featuring “more monster variety than ever,” and a big change from the last DLC’s swampy region.

Blizzard also said Lord of Hatred’s system updates will change the game, including a “completely overhauled, massively expanded” skill tree, offering more customization from the beginning. They said that “meaningful choices,” including customization options are coming, and they’re coming to all classes regardless of whether players own the DLC or not.

Other changes coming to Lord of Hatred are loot filters, a new Talisman system, and more to be revealed. Needless to say, it sounds like the Diablo team is cooking up some fun stuff for the franchise’s big birthday this year.

You can check out the full showcase on YouTube above, including all of the details about Reign of the Warlock, Diablo 2: Resurrected’s new DLC.
