The Heron god rolls and how to get them in Destiny 2

The Holofoil version of The Heron glaive in Destiny 2 from Arms Week.

The Heron is Destiny 2‘s first tiered glaive, making it easy to get a god roll of it. It may not let you down if you get multi-perk copies of this weapon, and the reused Lubrae’s Ruin model gives it a few extra points on the coolness scale.

Though glaives aren’t exactly the most popular pick in Destiny 2, the Heron might serve you well, especially in higher-difficulty activities where you may need its damage shield. Since it’s a limited-time weapon, however, it’s best to chase after it while it’s available, even if you just want it as a trophy.

As usual, though, most damage perks only affect the projectile portion of the glaive, so keep this in mind when you’re spending your Combat Telemetry with Ada-1. Here are our god rolls for The Heron in Destiny 2, based on data from d2foundry.gg.

The Heron PvE god rolls in Destiny 2

  • Haft: Low-Impedance Windings, Supercooled Accelerator, or Lightweight Emitter

    • Reload speed may not be as important if you have any of the three perks in our god roll, but it’s up to personal preference.

  • Magazine: Alloy Magazine, Light Mag, or Appended Mag
  • First column: Replenishing Aegis, Overflow, or Envious Assassin

    • Honorable mention: Repulsor Brace

  • Second column: Close to Melee, Destabilizing Rounds, Unstoppable Force, or Sword Logic

Getting stuck on a long reload with a glaive can be a death sentence in tougher content. Fortunately, the Heron has three different ways to stop that from happening, and they’re all in our god roll.

Replenishing Aegis refills your magazine when you block damage, Overflow puts ammo in your mag whenever you pick up an ammo brick, and Envious Assassin loads your glaive when getting kills with other weapons. They’re all great options on a glaive, and the last two options also overfill your magazine so you have more room to work with. Having at least one of those is almost necessary.

Repulsor Brace is another option for this column. You’re bound to use this more if you’re focusing on the glaive’s melee aspect, since it lets you soak up hits without needing to stop swinging. Make sure you have an avenue to spread Void debuffs, such as a subclass or through Destabilizing Rounds in column four, to keep your overshields topped up. Proximity Power can help with melee builds, too, though it’s focused enough that it’s not on the top of our list.

The Heron has your usual good choices for glaives in the fourth column, but if you’re keen on slashing your enemies, go for Close to Melee. It bumps up your melee damage after getting a projectile kill, and it’s one of the few ways to actually make your slashes hit harder. Destabilizing Rounds can prime enemies for an explosion by making them Volatile, with bonus points if you have Repulsor Brace to get an overshield from it.

On the flip side, Unstoppable Force is a classic if you’re looking for an all-rounder damage perk on its projectile. It’s simple enough: block damage, deal more damage. Sword Logic bumps up your shots when getting kills, with sturdier enemies granting bigger benefits. Those are the bread-and-butter for glaives, and they’re always a safe choice.

Lastly, Unrelenting gives you some health regeneration when killing multiple targets, while Binary Orbit and Redirection bump up your projectile damage. Your build may not always accommodate the former and glaives aren’t as well-suited to stacking the latter, so our god roll stays away from them even if they may be decent options.

How to get The Heron in Destiny 2

The Heron became available in the limited Arms Week event at the end of January, though it’s bound to return for the Call to Arms event further down the road. You can get it by completing activities that drop Distorted Arms Week Engrams or by buying it from Ada-1 with Combat Telemetry.

If you reach rank 10 on the Arms Week mini-event, you’re guaranteed a Holofoil copy of The Heron with random perks, though its tier varies based on your account progress.

Expired Respirators in ARC Raiders

Expired Respirator might not be a new item in ARC Raiders, but the demand for it has gone up after the Headwinds update went live.

The Trophy Display project, added as part of the Headwinds update, requires you to find and submit Expired Respirators. Doing so will earn you different rewards that might be immensely beneficial for your in-game grind.

While there’s an element of randomness associated with how you can find, this guide will help raise the odds of your success.

Best Expired Respirator locations in ARC Raiders

There’s no fixed area where you’re guaranteed to find Expired Respirators. However, it’s a medical equipment that can typically be found in commercial areas. I usually used to find this item in different spots of the Buried City. The Hospital is a POI that seems to have the highest chances of success.

Another great spot is the Testing Annex location on Dam Battlegrounds. The spot, located in the southern part of the map, can also help you with a few Expired Respirators. That said, it ultimately depends on your luck.

If you’re on the Spaceport or the Blue Gate map, I will concentrate on hitting the Commercial and Residential areas. You’ll want to go carefully through all the containers and other breachable spots that you might find.

How to use Expired Respirators in ARC Raiders

As of writing, the most important use of the Expired Respirators is to complete the second stage of the Trophy Display project. You’ll need to submit three of these items once you’ve unlocked Stage 2. Doing so will get you three Photoelectric Cloak, and bring you one step closer to unlocking the final rewards.

Once done, you can recycle Expired Respirators to get four Fabric and eight Rubber Parts. Both items are staples for several crafting recipes, and you should stack them as much as possible.
