The Division 2 Y8S1 Rise Up Week 1 Manhunt: Scout 1 solutions

A player trying to ambush an enemy in The Division 2

The Division 2 Y8S1 Rise Up Week 1 Manhunt is now live with the launch of the new season, and we have the first set of scout objectives to complete. Just like the previous season, there are three tasks to complete.

Let’s look at what the tasks for the fresh season require us to do.

The Division 2 Y8S1 Rise Up Week 1 Scout solutions

The first set of scout objectives has three clues for us to decode, which then tell us what needs to be done.

  • “We need to secure a beachhead in Federal Triangle.”
  • “With Navy Plaza secured, we need to start suppressing hostile activity nearby.”
  • “Secure our hold on Jefferson Trade Center.”

Here’s the set of tasks that have to be completed.

  • Take over the Navy Plaza Control Point
  • Complete open-world activities in the Federal Triangle
  • Complete Jefferson Trade Center on any difficulty

Take over the Navy Plaza Control Point

The first task of this week is to take over the Navy Plaza Control Point located in the Federal Triangle district. Located to the east of the DC headquarters, there’s only one Control Point to liberate. The basic task is simple: Resist all hostile activities until the boss appears. You have to kill the boss to complete the takeover. You can also call nearby allies to make your life easier.

Complete open-world activities in Federal Triangle

To complete this task, you have to complete any three open-world activities in the Federal Triangle. You can choose from the following operations based on what you like.

  • Hostage Rescue
  • Public Execution
  • Propaganda Broadcast
  • Territory Control
  • Resource Convoy

Since the first task (where you take over the Navy Plaza Control Point) is an open-world activity, you need to complete two more.

Complete Jefferson Trade Center on any difficulty

The final task takes you to the Jefferson Trade Center, where you need to complete the main mission at any available difficulty. This task is relatively simple, and you can request help if you’re playing at higher difficulty.

Once you finish the Scout 1 objectives, you’ll gain access to a voice recording that involves Manny Ortega, who discusses a UFO with a civilian. To know more, we will have to wait for the next chapter of the active season.

Prototype gear in The Division 2

Prototype gears have arrived in The Division 2 with the start of Year 8 Season 1, and they currently sit at the top of all types of weapons/armors. Gears belonging to this item quality sit above High-End, Named, and other set items, making them truly unique.

Let’s find out how you can get these elusive items to improve your arsenal.

How to obtain Prototype gears in The Division 2

To obtain Prototype gears, you’ll need to participate in missions belonging to the Escalation mode. This is a new difficulty to complete missions that you’ve previously completed inside the game. Every week will have a set number of missions to finish.

There are ten different tiers for each mission. The higher the difficulty, the better your chances of getting Prototype gears. However, you can also get more of these items via the route of upgrades.

How to upgrade to Prototype gears in The Division 2

You can upgrade items starting from High-End quality to Prototype gear. To do so, you’ll need a Prototype Core. The cosen item must also be at the maximum Expertise level (30), and the item must be at maximum level (40). The item doesn’t need to be full optimized for the conversion.

Once you change an item to Prototype gear, it can no longer be optimized or recalibrated. Hence, pay full attention to its stats before spending the Prototype Core on it. However, the upgrade is worth it since your gear will improve its stats and also gain augments.

Here’s a list of augments that are currently available.

  • Quantum – Provides a small chance to become temporarily immune to damage.
  • Echo – Each bullet fired has a chance to deal its damage a second time.
  • Atomize – Increases grenade radius and damage.
  • Amalgam – Each bullet hit has a chance to apply a random status effect.
  • Trapper – Increases the duration of status effects you apply.
  • Entropy – Increases your Health based on a percentage of your total Armor.
  • Anomaly – Skills restore a portion of the damage they deal as healing.
  • Paradox – Provides a chance to refill part of your magazine while firing.
  • Synesthesia – Bullet hits have a chance to slightly reduce skill cooldowns.
