Pokémon Go Super Mega Raids explained

Pokémon Go is getting a way to catch Mega Evolutions like Mega Victreebel and Mega Malamar in the form of Super Mega Raids, and these will prove to be the ultimate test of your in-game abilities.

While the new type of raids will be introduced during in-person Tours in Los Angeles and Tainan, all of us will get to enjoy Super Mega Raids when the Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos – Global goes live later in February. Super Mega Raids might be similar to their Mega variants, but they have different mechanisms.

How will Super Mega Raids work in Pokémon Go

Super Mega Raids are extremely difficult battles where you’ll have to team up with other trainers to defeat Mega-Evolved Pokémon. Unlike normal Mega Raids, you can’t solo Super Mega Raids. Instead, there must be at least eight players in a lobby for a Super Mega Raid to work. If you encounter a Legendary, you may require more trainers.

During a raid, the opposing Mega-Evolved Pokémon might get enraged and resist your attacks with different mechanisms. They will have shields that you’ll have to take down with your fellow trainers. You’ll also require Mega-Evolved Pokémon in your party to take part in these raids. Once the opposite Pokémon raises its shields, your own Mega-Evolved Pokémon’s next attack will be powered up.

The rule applies to all, barring Primal Kyogre, Primal Groudon, and Ditto. Their attacks won’t be able to break shields despite transforming themselves into Mega-Evolved form.

How to find Super Mega Raids in Pokémon Go

To make things easier, you can find Super Mega Raids using the new web-based map. The map allows you to filter what you want to find, which includes Super Mega Raid. To find one, you can view the events in advance and share the link with your friends.

This will allow you to make a group and plan well in advance. You can also view nearby meetups and find other trainers to play with.

How to play Super Mega Raids in Pokémon Go

To play Super Mega Raids (and all forms of Mega Raids), you’ll need to find Link Charges. If you’re playing a Super Mega Raid locally, you can either use your Premium Battle Pass or a Link Charge. However, you’ll need an additional Remote Raid Pass if you plan on joining a Super Mega Raid remotely (along with Link Charges). If it’s a Standard Mega Raid, a Remote Raid Pass will be enough.

Pokémon Go Link Charges explained

Link Charges is a new form of energy source. You can collect the energy using Link Holder. The Link Holder can hold a fixed amount of Link Charges, and it will always be present in your item bank.

The best way to get Link Charges is by adventuring with your friends. Complete weekly challenges, open gifts, and check select community meetups via Campfire. Link Charges will also be available for purchase from the in-game shop and the web store.

The Fantasy FC promo is now live in FC 26, and it has introduced several live cards to Ultimate Team.

All cards released as part of the promo will be eligible for upgrades in the near future. The upgrades will depend on how the players perform in real life. Moreover, the performances of their respective clubs will also be considered.

This guide will help you keep track of all incoming upgrades as they happen.

It’s important to understand how the upgrades will be applied. The system is slightly different for Heroes (more on that later).

• Club gets six points in the next four matches: +1 overall rating and all Role++ in every position
• Club scores 10 goals in the next four matches: One face stat randomly upgrades to 99
• Player scores (for attackers and midfielders) or keeps a clean sheet (for goalkeepers and defenders) in the next four matches: +1PS+ (if 2 PS+, then only PS) and +1 PS
• Player gets six attacking contributions (attacker/midfielder) or 12 defensive contributions in the next four matches (defender/goalkeeper): Five-star weak foot or Five-star skill moves

Additionally, all cards will get one extra PlayStyle+ if their club wins a domestic cup. They will also gain +1 OVR (extra) if their club wins the domestic league at the end of the season.
