Locked 2 Tier List – Best Weapons [RELEASE]

locked 2 tier list and guide

There’s a ton of Weapons in Locked 2 with varying degrees of power for offense and defense with some being Goalkeeper-only. I’ll organize them for you and rank their power and how optimal and flexibile they are in matchmaking and custom games. Here’s my Locked 2 Weapon Tier List and guide.

Locked 2 Weapons Tier List

I’ll be ranking the best Locked 2 Weapons from S-Tier which is the Meta/Best to D-Tier which is the tier for weak options. Consider A-Tier excellent alternatives to the Meta and B-Tier situationally powerful options that require more set-up. I won’t be considering height and flow combos yet since I’ll be adding those later if there’s interest. Lastly, before we dive into the individual weapon ranking breakdowns check out a few terms I’ll be using throughout the tier list.

Terminology Breakdown:

  • Autos – Standard Queue/Matchmaking Games
  • Scrims – Friendly/Custom Games
  • iFrames – Invicibility frames during a move where the opponent cannot interact with you in any way

S-Tier Weapons

S-Tier Weapons Ranking Reason

Emperor Impact
Unique
Activate to make your next shoot an instant max power and max speed shot.

• Just click and win
• It’s an instant powershot that’s both really strong and easy to use
• It just gets better with Riptide Curve or Power Shot
• Incredibly flexibile from any shooting position and has virtually zero counterplay
• IMO the best Weapon in the game

Big Bang Drive
Unique
Perform a bicycle kick powershot sending the ball backwards.

• As long as you don’t aim at the GK this is one of the best weapons in the game for matchmaking/scrims
• Requires good 180 aim knowledge for less predictable shots
• Incredibly powerful when mastered

Serpent
Unique
Clear the ball in the direction you’re facing.
Hold to jump higher.

• Huge hitbox for stopping shots
• The best defense Weapon in the game

Bunny
Rare
Use a single charge to leap high into the air.

• Incredibly strong defensive and offensive weapon
• For offense it’s incredibly good for a coordinated pass from the sideline to you with Bunny to score
• Also good to counter some strong offensive weapons
• That said, your mileage may vary in autos in lower skill levels where Bunny isn’t that needed
• But in scrims it’s OP

A-Tier Weapons

A-Tier Weapons Ranking Reason

Immense Speed
Legendary
Burst forward, gaining momentum in three accelerating surges.

• Incredible mobility and defense to catch balls playing center positions
• Can also be used offensively when needed to dribble past people
• Speed is power in this game and this is the best speed-up weapon
• It’s not S-Tier since you take time to reach max speed and you’re not in max-speed mode for long

Perfect Counter
Unique
Enter a counter stance for a short period that triggers if someone tries to steal your ball.
Gain a massive boost on trigger.
Does nothing if not triggered.

• One of the best weapons in the game while you’re playing autos in the box since you’ll trigger it all the time
• That said, against experienced players it’s harder to trigger since they won’t fall for it as often
• So it’s S-Tier in matchmaking against low-mid skill and low-A/High-B against experienced players

Crushing Header
Epic
Strike with a devastatingly powerful header.

• Basically a less flexibile Emperor Impact shot that needs to be set up as a header
• Its power is the same but it requires more setup
• Goes well with Weapons that can set you up better like Bunny

Blackhole Trap
Epic
Jump into the air, trapping the ball midair with perfect control.

• Best used aggressively in autos to jump over defenders and get more shot options
• That said if you’re coordinated with friends it also has support options for passing
• Very powerful due to flexibility
• Usually better than Bunny in autos but weaker in scrims

B-Tier Weapons

B-Tier Weapons Ranking Reason

Riptide Curve
Legendary
A shot with a directional spin curving to the left or right.

• Very useful utility offensive option for occasional tricky hard-to-block shots
• You can curve it for trickier shots or fire it off fast if needed
• That said it’s not very powerful by itself when used offensively
• Works best with Power Shot and Emperor Impact for curving powershots
• Due to Riptide relying on other moves for full potential I’ll put it in B-Tier but I can see low A-Tier being good as well

Power Shot
Rare
Charge longer for a more powerful shot.

• Very good offensive option but it takes time to charge it
• So you need space and you can’t use it in a pinch if surrounded
• Best used when combined with Emperor Impact and other more instant-use options
• This allows you to use PS if you’re alone and have space and then cover its weakness in a crowd with the instant option

Stylish Reach
Common
Gain increased defensive hitbox range.

• One of the best defensive weapons in the game for left or right back
• That said it doesn’t have many uses outside of those positions
• So while it’s incredibly powerful defensively the lack of flexibility puts in B-Tier

Dragon Header
Legendary
Run and launch yourself forward, delivering a powerful header if the ball is in the air.

• IMO this is a slightly less powerful Crushing Header
• It can be good from time to time but Crushing Header is easier to use for me personally
• Still a strong shot option just more situational than CH so I put it lower

Direct Shot
Common
Shoot off a teammate’s pass, perfect timing makes the shot faster.

• Highly dependent on both skill and your teammates
• If you have good teammates that can set you up Direct Shot is busted
• If you have bad teammates it can feel very bad and less optimal to use
• B-Tier is perfect for it since it can go either way from A to C depending on your team

C-Tier Weapons

C-Tier Weapons Ranking Reason

Metavision
Unique
Activate to:
+See the ball’s trajectory
+Speed boost
+No ankle breaks
For the 30s duration

• Pretty decent autos weapon for offense and defense
• Useful in all scenarios
• It’s ranked lower just because it lacks raw power and there are stronger weapons

Super Fast Scissors
Rare
Burst past defenders with rapid scissors to create space.

• Great mobility with iFrames at the start but not during the dash so your ball will get stolen if not careful
• Sets up Big Bang Drive, Emperor and other shots really well
• That said there are stronger options so C-Tier is perfect

D-Tier Weapons

D-Tier Weapons Ranking Reason

Stealthy Steps
Rare
Turn invisible and gain a burst of speed.

• Can be decent defensive and offensive utility
• That said it’s not a fullproof offensive nor defensive weapon since you don’t get iFrames and still have to dribble

Monster Lift
Epic
Perform an overhead flick to lift the ball and dribble past defenders.

• It’s okay for beginners but the lack of i-Frames kill it for higher-skill matches and scrims

Special Tier Weapons

Special Weapons Ranking Reason

Chameleon Copy
Legendary
Use to copy any offensive weapon if you have the ball or a defensive weapon if you don’t have the ball.

• Incredibly situational to the point where it’s S-A-B-C-D Tier all at the same time
• It all depends on what you copy where you can get Emperor Impact and other S/A-Tier Weapons for massive power
• Or you can get Stealthy Steps and other D/C-Tier Weapons which suck
• A wild card weapon that’s down to personal preference and depends on how much you value fun versus being optimal
• That said it’s not completely random since you can kind of rely on getting offensive/defensive weapons based on the ball

Primal Handstand
Epic
Flip into a handstand to block hard-to-reach shots with an acrobatic save.

• There’s no rankings for GK weapons since there’s only two and you just want to pick these up if you play GK
• They’re up to personal preference so pick either one of the two
• That said, Primal Handstand IMO is much better than Bear Claw and it’s an incredibly good defensive tool
• The hitbox is so big that it blocks every shot
• Virtually S-Tier

Bear Claw
Common
A powerful save that lets you snatch the ball instead of deflecting it.

• See Primal Handstand
• Good but Primal Handstand is better IMO
