The Leaf Blower is a brand-new item added to R.E.P.O. as part of the Cosmetics Update, and it has some important uses. While it’s not as flashy as the 500 new cosmetics or so that we can now unlock, the Leaf Blower is a pretty powerful weapon to have.
Let’s find out how to use it efficiently to deal with the different monstrosities.
How does the Leaf Blower work in R.E.P.O.
To use the Leaf Blower, you’ll need to purchase it for $10,000. Once done, you can then use it by equipping it. The Leaf Blower blows a stream of air that can trap enemies and push them away. You need to aim it at the enemies and activate it. You’ll also need to have a charge in your battery to make it work.
If you’re going up against bigger monsters, the Leaf Blower should be avoided. While the stream of air it ejects is powerful, the effectiveness tapers off. However, it’s an amazing tool to have against smaller enemies. If they’re the size of the Gnomes, the Leaf Blower will just sweep them away and cause fatal damage.
While you might not be able to tackle the bigger monsters with the Leaf Blower, there are certain interesting physics-based actions you can trigger. For example, you can combine it with the new staffs that have been added as part of the update. If you manage to stun an enemy with one of your staff, you can then blow it up in the air. When the enemy falls from a height, it will take damage. To do so, you’ll need to angle your Leaf Blower upwards (otherwise, you can’t push the enemy high into the air).
Do I love the Leaf Blower? In one word: Yes. It’s an extremely fun tool to have despite its fair share of limitations. The bigger enemies aren’t much of a problem since the newly-added staffs are more than enough to take them down. It’s also pretty power-efficient and only requires energy when it’s active.

If your Discord messages are struggling to send or you’re having general problems with the app, you’re not alone.
The chat app has been suffering issues for several hours now, but Discord said on Twitter/X that it was aware of the issues and is working on it. It’s already seeing some positive signs on my end, which is sad, because the server issues made me realize how much I’m on the damn app.
Granted, I use Discord for both work and personal reasons (talking to my significant other and friends), so I’m on it a lot. But still, the feeling I just got made me shudder to think about looking at my screentime details on my iPhone. I think I’m going to be touching some significant grass this weekend.
Discord’s DownDetector page started showing an influx of error reports at around 2pm CT, and it appears the issues are API-related. But slowly and surely, the errors are subsiding and messages are starting to come through again.
Your mileage may vary, as it’s still pretty spotty for me, but worry not. You should be able to hop on a voice call with friends to play games or watch movies tonight. Or you could be like me and leave the cave for once.
This is a breaking news story. It’s being written in real time.
