How to take one photo with a non-talking snowman in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Standing next to three different snowmen in disney dreamlight valley

Star Path events sometimes ask you to take pictures with certain items, characters, or locations around the village in Disney Dreamlight Valley. One such task you may encounter challenges you to take one photo with a non-talking snowman.

It can be a bit tricky to figure out what this task is referring to, but luckily, it’s a fairly easy one to get done once you know what you’re looking for. If you’re struggling to solve what this task is asking of you, here’s how to take one photo with a non-talking snowman in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

What is a non-talking snowman in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

A non-talking snowman for the Winter Warmth Star Path event is any craftable snowman you can make and place around the valley, which includes the Haughty Snowman, Snow Kid, Snow Lady, and Classic Snowman. Snapping a picture with Olaf doesn’t count for this task, as he’s a talking snowman rather than a non-talking one.

Each snowman has a unique set of required materials, so here’s what you need to make each one.

  • Haughty Snowman

    • 10 Snowball
    • One Crystal
    • Two Fabric
    • Two Ruby

  • Snow Kid

    • Eight Snowball
    • One Carrot
    • Two Fabric
    • Three Pebbles

  • Snow Lady

    • 10 Snowball
    • One Carrot
    • Two Fabric
    • Three Pebbles

  • Classic Snowman

    • 10 Snowball
    • One Carrot
    • Two Fabric
    • Three Pebbles

If you already have a crafted snowman, you don’t need to make a new one. Simply place it down anywhere you like so you may get to work on this mission. Another duty in this event does ask you to craft a snowman, though, so you will still need to make one at some point if you’re hoping to earn as many event Tokens as possible.

Take one photo with a non-talking snowman in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To complete the take one photo with a non-talking snowman task, you need to snap one picture that includes a crafted snowman. To do so, you’ll need to place one of the four qualified snowmen down somewhere around your villager, equip your phone from the Royal Tool wheel, and take a picture that has the snowman in frame.

Successfully completing this task gets you a whopping 50 Tokens to spend in the event. This is a massive prize for a duty that requires fairly minimal work, so it’s certainly worth tackling. If you still need more Tokens to claim the prizes you’re after, there are plenty of other missions you can complete, like digging for special crystals underground, cooking a fairly fancy dinner, and selling snowman building material.

ARK Survival Ascended Lost Colony promo image

ARK Survival Ascended‘s Lost Colony DLC has finally been released after a launch delay, and it brings a host of new creatures.

While the list of prehistoric creatures was already vast in the base game, Lost Colony adds to them. This guide will list all the new creatures along with their brief in-game descriptions. As always, I will add to this guide if I come across new names that are part of the DLC but not mentioned here.

Complete list of Lost Colony DLC creatures in ARK Survival Ascended

The theme of the Lost Colony DLC is pretty same as that of the base game. Some of the new creatures are straight from the books of history. Others are mutated monsters that are byproducts of the misuse of technology.

NamesDescription
AureliaxA brand new flying creature, you can use the Aureliax to destroy enemies with gravity effects.
CryolophosaurusDeals damage via narcotic sludge, but it can also buff your allies.
DesmodusThe Desmodus uses echolocation to target and damage enemies, and it can be a great option in areas where visibility is low.
GigadesmodusThis massive creature is an absolute tank and also allows you to place a mobile command center on its back. This is arguably one of the best creatures to find in the Lost Colony expansion.
GloonThe strange creature fires a laser, and it can make other creatures go into a frenzy and lose self-control.
GargoylesMythical creatures that are made of stone, and they can be extremely dangerous if you aren’t careful.
MalwynThis is the aggro version of the Veilwuyn, and offers multiple forms of attacks to take down enemies.
NeophytesAnother massive bat-type creature that can absorb a great deal of enemy damage before feeling the effects.
OssidonA giant primate that throws sludge balls at enemies. It can deal damage from range.
RevenantsThese are corrupted remnants of Thralls and dinosaurs that have been corrupted by the liquid Edmundium.
SolwynSimilar to Malwyn, it can use ice for different reasons, and can also be used as a mount.
VeilwynAn Arctic Fox that can teleport (has some other handy uses as well).

Overall, I really love the different creatures that are part of the Lost Colony DLC. Vielwyn is a curious creature that comes in two other forms: Solwyn and Malwyn. There might be more forms that I haven’t discovered yet.

I have always loved gigantic creatures, and it doesn’t get any better than the Gigadesmodus, which is absolutely massive. Taming the beast is a challenge in every sense, and I will have a guide to help you do the same. While I would have loved for the DLC to have more creatures, the different types make up for the lack in quantity.
