The Hurricane map modifier/event is coming soon to ARC Raiders, and it’s best to get prepared for the new challenge.
We have had plenty of interesting map conditions so far in the game since its launch in late October of last year. The Hurricane map event could be a hard challenge, adding to the difficulties posed for the raiders by the environment.
Here’s everything you need to know to raise your chances of survival.

When will the Hurricane map event release in ARC Raiders
The Hurricane map event will be part of the upcoming Shrouded Sky update in ARC Raiders. Both Shrouded Sky and the Hurricane map event will be released on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Once live, you’ll need to wait for the event rotation schedule to become active for the Hurricane modifier.
What to expect from the Hurricane map event in ARC Raiders
When Cold Snap arrived, the chill became a massive headache for the raiders. This time, we will be going up against strong winds. When you have the wind behind you, you’ll feel the boost of speed. However, traveling in the opposite direction will raise your stamina drain, causing more problems in the process.
When you throw grenades, you’ll also need to account for the wind. In simple words, expect the wind to cause plenty of trouble. That’s not all, as the wind will also kick up dirt and debris. Your shield will degrade when the debris hits you. While the degradation should be minimal (at least that’s what I expect), you’ll need to recharge your shields regularly.
The wind and debris will also negatively affect your visibility. Aiming from a distance will be difficult, and you’ll need to be careful about incoming ARCs who could take advantage of your reduced vision.
However, when there’s risk, there are rewards. You’ll be able to find valuable Raider Caches with important loot in them. These caches were originally hidden, but the wind has reportedly uncovered them. However, be careful since you won’t be the only one in search of this loot.
As with any map condition, the true challenges are only discovered once we play them first-hand. Once we have the Hurricane map event live, I will add some tricks and tips that will make it easier for you to survive Topside and bring back all your loot.

Slay The Spire 2 is coming soon, and its release date is closer than what you might anticipate.
Earlier on Feb. 19, Mega Crit revealed the official trailer for the game and also announced the release date. Up until now, we knew that the game would be released on early access in March. Thankfully, we have the official date, and this guide will help you keep track of the upcoming launch.
Slay The Spire 2 release countdown
Slay The Spire 2 will release in early access on Thursday, March. 5. The release date was confirmed earlier tonight, and the following countdown will expire once the game goes live.
[hurrytimer id=”1181658″]
The countdown is based on the following timings.
- 8am PT
- 10am CT
- 11am ET
- 4pm UTC
- 5pm CET
The timings mentioned here are based on the information available on SteamDB. However, the timings are extremely likely to change before March 5. If that happens, I will duly update the changed timings on this guide.
What to expect from Slay The Spire 2
Slay The Spire 2 marks the return of the roguelike deckbuilder in a new form, as the Spire has awakened after 1,000 years and poses a new threat. Just like the Spire has evolved, so has the ability to move up the towers.
The key objective remains the same, as you have to move up the Spire by defeating different enemies with your own cards, abilities, and more. No two climbs will be the same, as you’ll have to constantly evolve your deck and strategies as per the enemies in front of you.
There’s a whole cast of returning and new characters with five different options available for you to pick from. Every character will have a unique playstyle, and you can improve them further on your run.
There’s one huge change as you no longer have to play alone. You can choose to climb the Spire on your own, or you can partner with up to three other players in the new co-op mode. Since Slay The Spire 2 will release in early access, expect to find plenty of new features that will be added down the line as future updates.
