How to spread the newspapers about Kingston’s new movie in Fortnite Chapter 7, season 1

Kneeling and looking at a newspaper in fortnite

The many NPCs who call the Fortnite island home have an array of tricky quests for you to tackle. These missions help you quickly earn XP and keep up with the main storyline. One of the trickier ones you’ll encounter asks you to spread the newspapers about Kingston’s new movie.

Most key quests only give you a general goal with little additional information, so it can be tough to figure out where to begin. It’s always worth tackling as many as you can to make your way through the battle pass, though, so if this one has you stumped, here’s how to spread the newspapers about Kingston’s new movie in Fortnite.

All newspaper locations in Fortnite

In total, there are eight different locations you can visit to place a newspaper for Kingston around the vast Fortnite island. You don’t need to visit all of them, but you do have plenty of options to choose from, which makes tackling this mission much easier. The spots you can visit are as follows.

  • Two locations at Bumpy Bay near the west end of the island.
  • Two locations at Sandy Strip near the east end of the island.
  • One location at Fore Fields near the very east end of the island.
  • Three locations at Battlewood Boulevard near the south end of the island.

Spread the newspapers about Kingston’s new movie in Fortnite

To complete the spread the newspapers about Kingston’s new movie quest in Fortnite, you need to place a total of five newspapers around the island. This isn’t too tough of an ask once you know where to look, but it can be a bit glitchy and finicky, so here’s a full breakdown of how to get it done.

  • Travel to one of the newspaper locations. You can only place this item at certain predetermined spots, which are listed above, so begin this quest by making your way to one.
  • Look for the diamond icon and newspaper outline. Once you’re in the right area, look for the white diamond icon with an exclamation point and the white newspaper outline with sparkles to find the precise spot you need to be.
  • Interact with the outline. Approach the newspaper outline and hold down the button that pops up once you’re right next to it to place a newspaper.
  • Repeat this process until the quest is finished. Navigate through these steps a total of five times to fully finish this task. You can work on it across multiple rounds, but you must visit five unique locations to get it done.

While working through this mission, I found that the outline for newspapers was sometimes not interactive. When this happened, I was generally able to walk around it and try interacting from different angles until the option finally popped up. If you encounter this error, start by trying to move around. If that doesn’t work, you may need to try again in a new round.

If you’re up for some more quests after completing this one, there are plenty of other tasks you can get done around the island. Next, you might work on using Flushers in different matches, getting Memberberries, and finding Kenny’s Respawn Token.

Wool of the Rancher in Cult of the Lamb

The finale in the Woolhaven DLC of Cult in the Lamb requires you to make a hard decision about whether you want to embrace the Rot or purge it for once and all.

The ultimate decision has to be made by you, which will also decide the final outcome. This guide will provide you with information about both outcomes so that you can be well-informed when the time comes.

What happens if you embrace the Rot in Cult of the Lamb

To reach the point where you have to decide, you’ll need to clear most of the Woolhaven content. Once you return Sariel’s spirit to Woolhaven, you’ll have completed filling all the graves around Yngya. The first choice is to embrace the Rot.

If you choose to go for this outcome, you’ll gain Faith daily if there’s a Rotten Follower in your cult. Rotten followers are similar to normal ones, but they survive for longer periods. The number of Rotten followers you have doesn’t matter; having one is sufficient.

What happens if you purge the Rot in Cult of the Lamb

If you choose to go with this outcome, you’ll gain Faith whenever a Rotten follower gets killed.

There’s no wrong decision, and you can continue your playthrough irrespective of whether you embrace or purge the Rot. However, I personally went with embracing it for two simple reasons.

  • Rotten followers don’t consume any resources, which is extremely useful. If they die, you get Rotburn, which is immensely helpful to keep your base warm during the winters.
  • Rotten followers are a core part of the new Woolhaven DLC. Lore-wise, keeping them alive made sense to me. Garnering sufficient Faith at the endgame stage has never been an issue, either in the base version or in the expansion.
