Many of the quests you’ll be tasked with in Fortnite ask you to track down certain characters. Bosses are some of the more common NPCs you’ll need to find, but they’re also some of the toughest to locate, as is the case with Bigfoot and Human Bill.
One of the essential main storyline missions you’re given to help free The Order asks you to find and fight one of these two imposing foes. You’re not given any information about how to locate them, though, which makes it a fairly tricky feat to tackle on your own. If you’re stuck, here’s how to hit Bigfoot or Human Bill to tag them for Carina’s favor in Fortnite.

Bigfoot location in Fortnite
Bigfoot is one of the bosses you can find and beat on the Fortnite island, which unfortunately means he doesn’t have a fixed spawn location. Instead, he rotates between many different possible spawn spots, making him a tough foe to find in each round. All of the locations where we’ve seen a boss spawn on the island are as follows.
- East of Sus Studios
- Ripped Tides
- Close to Wonkeeland
- Classified Canyon
- Latte Landing
- At Humble Hills
- On the hill east of Humble Hills
- Painted Palms
There may be additional spots where Bigfoot and other bosses can spawn, but so far, we’ve only ever encountered them at these eight locations. We’ll keep searching and add any other spots we uncover here, though. The boss icon also sometimes appears underground at Innoloop Labs, but there’s no way to access the marked spot or see which boss it is, so this location seems to be glitched.
When you’re in the general vicinity of a boss, the marker for them will pop up on your mini map. It’s a skull with a crown on it, and it marks their location as they wander around the nearby area. You can only see this icon when you’re fairly close to a boss, not by viewing the overall map from afar, so there’s no way to know which of the possible spawn spots have a boss and which don’t, except for manually checking each one.
Before the Feb. 5 update, Bigfoot wasn’t a boss, and instead existed as a special NPC you could only see from afar near the Tiptop Terrace area. Whenever you’d try to get closer to him, he’d disappear, but now, he’s a full-on boss who can pop up all over the island.
If you did spot him before this update, you might be tempted to go looking for him at his old stomping grounds, but he doesn’t show up around the forest area anymore. Instead, he sticks to the boss spawn locations only, as he’s now been upgraded to a formidable foe.
Human Bill location in Fortnite
Human Bill is a boss just like Bigfoot, which means he also has a randomized spawn spot in each round. He can appear at all the same locations where you might encounter other bosses, which include:
- East of Sus Studios
- Ripped Tides
- Close to Wonkeeland
- Classified Canyon
- Latte Landing
- At Humble Hills
- On the hill east of Humble Hills
- Painted Palms
Hit Bigfoot or Human Bill to tag them for Carina’s favor in Fortnite
To complete the hit Bigfoot or Human Bill to tag them for Carina’s favor quest so you can free The Order, you need to strike either Bigfoot or Human Bill once. You don’t need to hit both of them, and since finding bosses on the island is rather tough, it’s best to just wander around and hit whichever one you come across first, rather than specifically seeking out one over the other.
You can strike these bosses with any weapon you wish. A Pickaxe works just as well as any gun for the purposes of this quest, although both bosses and their loyal henchmen will become angry with you as soon as you hit them, so be prepared to fight or run away as soon as you’re done striking one of these two characters.

Nioh 3 is a truly visual masterpiece that’s better played in high graphics, but the performance in the early hours hasn’t been smooth. If you’re on a PC, you can easily tweak certain settings to get more out of your hardware.
We already got an early taste of PC gameplay, all thanks to the demo that’s available for free. While a massive benefit is continuing the main story on the full version, it also gave us an idea about what the best set of visual settings might look like.
Best Nioh 3 graphics settings
Before I dive deeper into the settings, here’s how my setup looks.

There are two pointers to note.
- I kept Vsync off because you reduce the load on your system but sacrifices very little in return. Hence, it’s best to keep it off.
- Keeping the FPS capped to 60 gave me the best results. There were no lags, no stutters, and the performance held steady at 60 FPS. However, you can choose to go for uncapped if you have a better system.
