The Bean achievement in How to Fish is arguably the most difficult one to complete, and more so if you don’t know what it is. How to Fish is not a big game, and you can complete a playthrough in 5–6 hours. However, the Bean achievement requires you to complete the full game and defeat the final boss in less than an hour.

How to complete Bean achievement in How to Fish

If you aren’t concerned about achievements, I would recommend taking your time to complete How to Fish. It’s a really enjoyable journey that you can enjoy with your buddies and do all kinds of silly stuff across the different islands.

If you aim to complete the bin achievement, however, you will have to min-max in every situation. This will spoil the immersive experience because you will be skipping certain locations. Moreover, it’s easier to get this achievement done when playing on your own, but that’s not a requirement.

Lighthouse

This is your first starting location, and here are the key steps.

• Get Knife and skip everything else.
• Get the Beer for $12
• Try to 360 around every creature for a 1.5x multiplier that gets you more credits.
• Keep the $3 as your savings.
• Use the Dry Beer Can to lure the Spider Crab boss.
• Stay close to it to save time.
• Move aside as it charges in, and then hit it from the back while it’s dizzy.

Defeat the Spider Crab to get the boat keys, and now we will be heading to the next island.

Forest (Island 1)

We are still going to keep our purchases as streamlined as possible.

• Buy the Pistol.
• Get the extra inventory slot.
• Find the leeches to get the bait that kills the Giant Piranha. Shoot the smaller Piranhas and eat them to restore your health. Keep circling the boss and shoot whenever a window is open.

Desert (Island 2)

Get the following purchases.

• Get the SMG.
• Upgrade the Bullets completely.
• Get the extended mag for the SMG.

When shooting for a fish, get as many modifiers as possible. Ignore the Grill, and try to catch a Seahorse or a Needlefish as quickly as possible. This allows you to kill the Pufferfish and reach the next island.

Rocks (Island 3)

Get the following purchases.

• Buy the Compensator for the SMG that costs $6000.
• Purchase few Dynamite to get multiple fishes cheaply and quickly.
• Purchase the Professional Boss Lure to catch the Tuna.

Spread the Tuna to lure the Albatross, and stay near the weapon shack. Go inside the shack when the Albatross does its poop attack. Killing the Albatross quickly is must; otherwise, you won’t complete the run in less than an hour. If you manage to kill it, take the meat to the next island.

Volcano (Island 4)

First, cook the Albatross meat chunks in the lava to sell for more profits.

• Get the suppressor for the SMG.
• Get a Scientific Lure.
• Get as many bullet upgrades for the SMG to increase the damage.
• For fishes, we will use Dynamite to get five of them for the bait to catch the Bowhead Whale.

When you fight the Bowhead Whale and the Mutated version, you’ll only want to have the weapon and healing items. Having healing items will be necessary to survive the fight. You can also try this run with your buddies, and that would make the final fights easier.
