The Fortnite island is home to quite a few different imposing bosses you can fight to get your hands on some exclusive loot. One such boss is Dread Punisher Squibbly, and he can be a difficult guy to find and fight on your own.
Like all bosses, this one has a special item you can’t find anywhere else, making him a formidable foe worth facing. If you’re struggling to figure out where he is and how to best him in battle, here’s how to find and defeat Dread Punisher Squibbly in Fortnite.

Dread Punisher Squibbly location in Fortnite
Dread Punisher Squibbly alternates between a few different spawn locations around the Chapter Seven, season two map, including Squibbly Shores, Ripped Tides, Battlewood Boulevard, and Latte Landing. He may have a few more possible locations, but so far, these are the only areas we’ve run into him. If we uncover any additional ones, we’ll add them here.
Although Dread Punisher Squibbly can pop up at any of these spots, he does have a favorite, which is unsripngly Squibbly Shores. For the best chances of finding and fighting him, venture to this location, as he hangs out here a lot more often than anywhere else.
Regardless of where this boss chooses to spawn, he’ll be marked by a skull with a crown icon on your mini map. This icon only pops up when you’re actually at a location, unfortunately, so you can’t check for it from far away. Instead, you must fully venture to and explore a spot to see if he’s there.
How to beat Dread Punisher Squibbly in Fortnite
Dread Punisher Squibbly is a fairly average boss in combat, which means he shouldn’t be a problem as long as you have solid health, shields, and at least one good weapon to back you up. His aim is fairly bad, and he doesn’t have any super dangerous abilities. Still, he can catch you off guard if you’re not prepared.
This boss fires at you using an assault rifle, which means he’s not great at up close combat. You can push closer to him to gain an advantage in the fight. Be careful, though, as he sometimes tosses out exploding squids. You get plenty of warning when this is happening, so they’re fairly easy to dodge.
The only other special mechanic Dread Punisher Squibbly has is the ability to turn invisible for a brief period of time. He doesn’t go fully invisible, though, so you can still see his shimmering outline if you look carefully.
To beat him in battle, simply fire at him with everything you’ve got to deplete his shield and health bars. Do your best to dodge his explosive squid attacks, but otherwise, don’t worry too much about his hits, as they’ll rarely land. It’s also crucial to watch out for enemy players while fighting him, as they love to swoop in and steal the kill and loot when you manage to get any boss low.
All Dread Punisher Squibbly boss loot in Fortnite
Upon defeating Dread Punisher Squibbly in combat, you get to claim a Legendary Combat Assault Rifle. He also drops some gold bars, ammo, and Slurpfish, but this loot isn’t the real prize; the assault rifle is.
There’s plenty more to get done around the island after finishing this boss battle. Next, you might work on collecting all Chaos Cubes, visiting Zero Point Shards for The Foundation, finding the Ice King, and opening the New Sanctuary Vault.
