The island you can traverse around and explore in Starsand Island is quite large, so getting around can take a while. This may have you seeking a quicker way to get around, specifically, how to fast-travel.
There are many different ways to get around the island, but some methods are much faster than others. You’ll want to learn what all of your options are and how to efficiently use them as soon as possible so you can make better progress. If you’re looking for the overall quickest way to get around, here’s how to fast travel in Starsand Island.

Can you fast travel in Starsand Island?
You can eventually fast travel in Starsand Island, but this option isn’t available to you early on and requires a decent amount of progression to unlock. While you work to unlock this feature, you can get around more quickly with a skateboard or roller skates, but you won’t be able to instantly teleport around to different spots until you do unlock it.
How to unlock fast travel in Starsand Island
Fast travel is unlocked by completing the Building Starsand Station quest with Solara. This is the second mission you get after reaching the Island Pro stage in your Island Life itinerary, right after helping Marston build the Maritime Bureau. If you don’t have it yet, focus on getting through your Island Life missions until you eventually reach it.
Building Starsand Station quest in Starsand Island
To complete the Building Starsand Station mission and unlock fast travel, you’ll need to:
- Cook four Soup Dumplings. The workers for this project need some sustenance, and you graciously volunteer to help them out. You can make this dish at a campfire using two Meat Bites and three Flour. Meat Bites and Flour can be made in a Separator using any type of meat (Beef, Fowl, Pork, or Mutton) for the Meat Bites and Wheat for the Flour.
- Help the construction team gather the missing materials. The team that’s working on the Starsand Station project is missing some key resources, so it’s up to you to find them. You need to acquire and bring them the following items.
- Five Iron Sheets, which can be made at a Cutter II using Iron Ingots.
- Five Glass Panes, which can be made at a Cutter I using Glass Bricks.
- Five Softwood Planks, which can be made at a Cutter I using Softwood.
- Five Stone Bricks, which can be made at a Furnace I using Stone and Charcoal.
How to build fast travel stations in Starsand Island
After completing the entire Building Starsand Station quest, you unlock the ability to make fast travel stations around the island. Each one requires you to donate an array of key materials, though, so getting them all up and running takes time.
All fast travel stations you can build are marked with a train icon on the map. There are 10 different stations in total, all of which require the same building materials. To craft each one, you need:
- 10 Stone Bricks
- Five Glass Panes
- 10 Softwood Planks
- Five Iron Sheets
The fast travel stations require the same types of materials you used during the Building Starsand Station quest, but you need more of them to make these useful teleportation points. After gathering the required materials, make your way over to one of the fast travel spots marked with a train icon on the map.
Once you’re there, interact with the station to open the donation box. Pass over all supplies you have to officially start the construction process. The station will then be built and usable for easy, fast travel the next day.
All fast travel points in Starsand Island
There are 10 fast travel points situated at different spots around the island.
- East Hopeland (Close to the front of your home lot)
- Green Pasture Ranch
- Exploration Club
- Cloudrest Lake
- East Starsand
- Crane Cape
- Starsand Station
- AquaBlue Outpost
- Half-Moon Bay
- North Starsand
How to use fast travel stations in Starsand Island
All fast travel stations are connected in Starsand Island, which means you can visit any one of them to then teleport over to another one of your choosing. Unfortunately, you cannot select fast travel points and teleport to them instantly from the map, so you will still need to make your way over to a station to initiate the fast travel process.
This means you need to have at least two stations up and running before you can use them. Luckily, you can build a station right near the front edge of your lot, making it quite easy to get around once you have it up and running. Traveling between stations costs 15 gold, too, so you’ll need to pay the fee each time you wish to use this service.

Ready to toe the line between good and evil? Warlocks are invading Diablo for its 30th anniversary, beginning today, and leading to BlizzCon later this year.
As part of today’s 30th anniversary spotlight, Blizzard revealed that Diablo 2: Reign of the Warlock is a new expansion for Diablo 2: Resurrected, and it’s available right now. But it doesn’t end there, because the Warlock class is also coming to Diablo Immortal later this year. And of course, it will be the second new class in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred in April, joining the already-available Paladin.
The update for the Diablo 2 remaster is packed with quality of life updates, as is Immortal’s (coming in June), but Diablo 4’s big upcoming expansion is where the bulk of the eyes are. And Blizzard says the new DLC has been built on what it’s learned over the past few years since D4 launched, including the new class.
Diablo 4’s Warlock is “fully unleashed,” with powers of metal chains and flames, and Blizzard called it “a heavy metal album come to life” during the stream. The dev team will deep dive on the new class on March 5, detailing its abilities, powers, and gear.
Lord of Hatred’s new zone, Skovos (the birthplace of humanity), was revealed during the stream, and it’s heavily inspired by Mediterranean landscapes, featuring “more monster variety than ever,” and a big change from the last DLC’s swampy region.
Blizzard also said Lord of Hatred’s system updates will change the game, including a “completely overhauled, massively expanded” skill tree, offering more customization from the beginning. They said that “meaningful choices,” including customization options are coming, and they’re coming to all classes regardless of whether players own the DLC or not.
Other changes coming to Lord of Hatred are loot filters, a new Talisman system, and more to be revealed. Needless to say, it sounds like the Diablo team is cooking up some fun stuff for the franchise’s big birthday this year.
You can check out the full showcase on YouTube above, including all of the details about Reign of the Warlock, Diablo 2: Resurrected’s new DLC.
