How to farm unlimited Abyss Artifacts in Crimson Desert

Kliff watching the lake

Abyss Artifacts allow you to improve the skills of all playable characters in Crimson Desert, but they come in limited amounts. However, the current build seems to have a glitch that allows you to collect as many Abyss Artifacts as required.

While the process is grindy and requires a bit of time (circa five minutes for one), it can be a great way to power up your characters early in the game. While I am unsure when this method will get patched out, it still works as of writing.

Crimson Desert Abyss Artifacts exploit explained

To exploit this glitch, you’ll need to be in Chapter 3 and on the The Face Behind the Mask questline. You’ll find the Seed of Unease subquest at this step. If you’re past this point, there’s sadly no other alternative. You gain an Abyss Artifact when you gain experience points. Whenever the experience meter (shown in the bottom left of the screen) fills up, you gain an Abyss Artifact.

You have to track the Reed Devil during the Seed of Unease subquest. On the way, you’ll find different totems. When you reach the first one, there will be a few minions along with the Reed Devil. First, defeat the minions, and reduce one-third of the Reed Devil’s health to make him retreat.

If you want to complete the objective, you’ll need to track the Reed Devil. However, don’t do that. Instead, go below the first totem, and you’ll find two more totems. When you go near these totems, they will rotate and spawn more minions.

You can keep repeating this process as many times as you want to farm experience points. This will also keep filling up the experience meter, and you’ll keep getting more Abyss Artifact.

So if you’re yet to reach Chapter 3, be prepared to use this method to get yourself some advanced skill upgrades that otherwise should be available only after you clear the latter chapters.
