How to complete The Bitter Pill in Windrose

The Bitter Pill quest in Windrose is one of the more challenging ones you can complete to get some extra rewards. You can obtain the quest by speaking with Doctor Galen, but the recommended character level is nine. You can attempt and even complete it earlier, but it will be pretty challenging.

Let’s look at what needs to be done to finish The Bitter Pill.

The Bitter Pill can be broken down into the following parts.

• Infiltrate Richards’ camp
• Search Richards’ camp
• Discuss the letter with Doctor Galen
• Find the gunpowder crates
• Talk to Doctor Galen
• Find Francois Arnaud on Tortuga
• Rescue Jacques Arnaud from captivity aboard a pirate ship
• Tell Francois Arno of his son’s fate
• Talk to Galen at the tavern on Tortuga

Infiltrate Richards’ camp

The first task begins with infiltrating the camp of Thomas Richards. Finding the camp isn’t a problem, as you can follow the quest marker. There will be plenty of enemies around the map, and you’ll need to clear all of them before proceeding with the second task.

Search Richards’ camp

Once you clear the camp of all enemies, look for clues that will help you figure out the traitor. You’ll find a letter from Francois Arnaud inside a chest in the camp itself. Your next task is to discuss the matters of the letter with Doctor Galen.

When you speak with Doctor Galen, he will be shocked to learn about Arnaud’s betrayal. He will then reveal that Arnaud disclosed the ship’s route and also supplied pirates with gunpowder. You’ll be tasked with finding the gunpowder crates.

Find the gunpowder crates

To find the crates, you’ll need to head to Blackbeard Ruins Excavation Sites. There are three ancient chests that you can find here (separate from the crates). The exact location of the crates will be random, but you can always locate them using the quest markers.

Once done, speak with Doctor Galen once again to tell him that Francois was indeed the one who supplied the gunpowder. He will then instruct you to find Francois in Tortuga.

If you follow the quest marker at Tortuga, it will lead you directly to Francois. When you speak with him, he will inform you that he was forced to betray because his son is being held captive. He will agree to your requests if you manage to rescue his son, Jacques.

Keep following the marker, and you’ll come across the Grim Reaper. You’ll need to board the ship and take down the enemies before making your way down to the lower deck.

Tell Francois of his son’s fate

Once you head down, Jacques will reveal that he has been blackmailing his own father. It’s part of his plan to take down Francois, and your attack thwarted it. Return to Francois and tell him what has happened. After receiving a few Guinea and Piastre from him, return to Galen at the tavern.

Talk to Galen at the tavern on Tortuga

Speak with Doctor Galen once more to inform him of what has happened. Once the dialogs are complete, you’ll get the following rewards.

• 300 Piastre
• 15 Guinea

Infinity Nikki 2.5 release countdown

Update 2.5 for Infinity Nikki will be released worldwide on Thursday, April 23. The date and time have been officially confirmed, so there’s no chance of a change this late. The following countdown will expire once the update goes live.

The countdown is based on the following timings.

• 8pm PT
• 10pm CT
• 11pm ET
• 3am UTC (April 24)
• 4am CET (April 24)

The timings are based on the maintenance we had during update 2.4, when the maintenance ended at 8pm PT. The schedule for the 2.5 update is yet to be confirmed as of writing. We should have more information before the update goes live worldwide. A brief window should also be available for you to pre-download and install the files related to the update.

The upcoming update should set up a showdown between Lady Medael and Nikki as the former is all set to offer real salvation to Itzaland. The map will have a brand new area of Boneyard post the launch of the update. There will also be new cosmetics, potential cosmetics, and more to enjoy.
