How to complete Data Reconstruction 3 in Marathon – data repository and AI maintenance protocol locations

The Data Reconstruction 3 contract is a priority mission in Marathon for the NuCaloric faction, and there are two difficult tasks to complete.

Spread across multiple locations in the Perimeter map, the Data Reconstruction 3 contract requires you to hack two data repositories. Then, you’ll also need to download AI maintenance and successfully exfil to complete the contract.

Marathon Data Reconstruction 3 contract walkthrough

The Data Reconstruction 3 contract can be broken down into three separate tasks.

• Hack two exterior Data Repositories in North or South Relay
• Download the AI Maintenance Protocol from Hauler
• Exfil successfully

How to complete hack two exterior Data Repositories in North or South Relay

All the action for this contract takes place on the Perimeter map. To download the exterior data repositories, you can either visit the North Relay or the South Relay. You don’t have to visit both to complete the task. For this contract, I visited the South Relay.

While I have marked the locations of the two Data Repositories in the image above, you’ll need to look for towers. You’ll find Orange and Cyan-colored towers at this location. The Data Repositories will be located on these towers (refer to the images below).

There is no pre-determined order for hacking the Data Repositories. Additionally, the locations appear to be fixed, which will make it easier for you to find them. The first Data Repository is near the UESC comms antenna building in the South Relay location.

Once you find it, move to the south of the map (and west of its location). Keep following the towers, and you’ll come across cyan-colored towers. The second data Repository will be on this tower.

How to complete the download AI Maintenance Protocol from Hauler

The second task will require you to travel west from the South Relay (it’s closer to the North Relay location). The gigantic rig has multiple points of entrance, and the AI maintenance protocol is located on the second floor.

The task gets easier if you enter from the western side. Look carefully, and you’ll find a door (in the image below) with a big “3” located by the entrance. Go inside and keep moving straight through the rooms until you find the stairs.

Once you get to the second floor, move straight through the two rooms until you reach a spot with two doors in front of you. Once you reach that location, you’ll have the quest marker appear on your screen. Keep following it, and you’ll eventually reach the AI Protocol.

Interact with it to complete the download, and this will finish the second task. To finish the contract, you’ll need to exfil successfully. If you fail at this step, you’ll need to start fresh from the first task.

Here are the two tasks of the Equitable Distribution 2 contract.

• Summon Transport Drone via the second-floor terminal in Algae Ponds
• Exfil UESC Supplies and Drone Manifest

How to Summon Transport Drone via the second-floor terminal in Algae Ponds

The first task is to reach floor 2 of the main building in Algae Ponds. You can find Algae Ponds quite easily since it’s a named POI on Dire Marsh. Once you find the building, take the stairs to reach toe the second floor.

The quest marker will appear once you’re on the second floor. Reach the terminal and interact with it to complete the hack. Finishing the hack will summon a transport that you’ll need to shoot down. Once you’re on the second floor, you’ll find a hallway with green structures. Go through the plastic strip curtains, and you’ll find the terminal hidden behind some large industrial filters in the next room.

How to get the UESC Supplies and Drone Manifest

Once you’ve hacked the terminal, you’ll find an airborne drone. The quest marker will show it, so it’s impossible to miss. Shoot it down before it manages to escape. Slavage its remains, and you’ll find the UESC supplies and the manifest.

To complete the contract, you’ll need to exfil successfully with both items. If you die in the process, you’ll have to restart on a new run.
