How to complete Controlled Access Zone Puzzle in ARC Raiders

The Controlled Access Puzzle POI is a new addition to ARC Raiders as part of the Shrouded Sky update, and there’s a new puzzle to solve.

Staying true to the recent theme, solving the puzzle will require cooperation among players. You can’t solve the puzzle by yourself, even if you’re playing in a trio. Let’s look at how to solve the puzzle.

How to solve the Controlled Access Zone Puzzle in ARC Raiders

We begin by reaching the new POI, located south of the Power Generation Complex. I have marked its location, but it’s pretty easy to find, as it’s a named spot. Just open your map, and you should be able to find it.

Find a fuel cell

Once you’re in the Controlled Access Zone, the first job is to look for a fuel cell. You need the fuel cell to insert it at a terminal at the top of the stairs. The cell can be found at the bottom of the stairs (near the corner of the wall). Carry the cell to the top of the stairs, and you’ll find a generator to insert the cell. You’ll find the first button in the same room.

Do note that the location of the cell can be random, but it will always be located on the bottom floor.

Interact with the buttons

Here’s the tricky part of completing the puzzle. There are four buttons in total. One of the buttons will always spawn by the generator on the top (where you insert the cell), and the remaining areas are random. I have added a few images so you know what you’re looking for.

To complete the puzzle, you’re going to need four people. All four of you should be pressing the buttons at the same time. This will require a lot of coordination, as you’ll be teaming up with opposition raiders. If one of the buttons is pressed out of sequence, the process will fail.

Once you’ve pressed all the buttons correctly, you’ll open the door (refer to the image below). Head inside, and you’ll find a generator. Insert the following items: 12 Metal Parts and one Industrial Battery. You can either scavenge these on your raid or bring them along for the puzzle.

Submitting the items fixes the control panel and allows you to enter the loot room. There are plenty of containers to raid at this location, and I have already found a Mythic Blueprint. You can repeat the process by starting a fresh round and solving the puzzle once again.

The launch of the Shrouded Sky update in ARC Raiders has a few new ways for players to be rewarded for their efforts, and the First Wave Raider Caches should be high on your priority list.

Not to be mistaken with the standard Raider Caches (in terms of their content), this variant is exclusive to the Hurricane map condition. While surviving the storm is filled with horrors and terrors, you can get some amazing loot in the process.

How to get First Wave Raider Caches in ARC Raiders

The First Wave Raider Caches are special containers that you can search for valuable loot. Not to be mistaken for Unconvered Caches, First Wave Raider Caches have been revealed by the strong winds of the Hurricane map event. These caches appear to be bigger than the standard ones (possibly due to the larger number of items).

Finding one is a huge challenge since it’s very hard to locate them in the dark. So far, I have found them on the Dam Battlegrounds and the Blue Gate maps. But some members of the community have also found success on Spaceport and Buried City.

I have marked the locations below (my own and based on the community). I have added the possible spots for Blue Gate and Dam Battlegrounds, but I will add more locations as I find more caches in the days to come.

First things first – the First Wave Raider Caches don’t have fixed locations on the map. Their locations appear to change with the raid, so that’s something to keep in mind. The locations shown on the images below are ‘possible’ spots where you should look. Finding one will also largely depend on your luck. Always look around the bushes because some of the caches can be hidden from open view.

Are First Wave Raider Caches worth it in ARC Raiders

First Wave Raider Caches are incredibly valuable to find in the current version of ARC Raiders. I am unsure if the rate of rewards will be changed in the future, but you can find some amazing items. The pool of possible rewards includes blueprints (for weapons and explosives), among other things.

Hence, finding the caches should be your top priority if you’re willing to brave the challenges of the Hurricane.
