How to call the Royal Envoy in The Sims 4

A sim with a shiny silver crown talking on the phone in the sims 4

The Lost Legacies event in The Sims 4 focuses a lot on the Royal Envoy, which means you’ll frequently need to meet up with her as you work through various missions. Sometimes, it’s easy to interact with her, while others, it’s surprisingly tough, as is the case with the call the Royal Envoy quest.

The Royal Envoy is up to something shady, so it makes sense with the storyline that she’s not always easy to track down. Still, you do have to figure out how to get in touch with her, as you’ll be unable to progress otherwise. If this mission has you stuck, here’s how to call the Royal Envoy in The Sims 4.

Call the Royal Envoy in The Sims 4

You can call the Royal Envoy by selecting the “Chat with…” option through your Sims phone. There are quite a few different ways to find and interact with the Royal Envoy, but when you get to this particular task, only one method actually checks it off, making it a bit trickier than you might expect to get done.

You can usually call Sims directly through the Relationships panel, but this quick and easy method didn’t work for me with this task. The requirements for this one are very specific, so if you’re stuck, here’s a full breakdown of how to work through this mission.

  • Select the phone option. This icon can be found in the bottom left corner of the screen, right between the notepad and calendar options.
  • Locate the social icon. Look through the apps on your Sims phone to find the social icon, which features a mouth with a chat bubble coming out of it.
  • Find the “Chat with…” option. On the social page, locate and select the “Chat with…” option.
  • Select the Royal Envoy. Under this tab, she’ll be listed with her real name, which is Marina Corsair, so look for this name instead. You can also search through the list and find her based on some of her defining features, as she’s got bright red hair and an elegant black, green, and gold vest on.

This chat takes a pretty long time to complete, longer than conversations with other Sims usually take, so if you feel like it’s not working, try to be patient with it. Odds are, it’s working fine, as this task simply takes a while to get done.

I thought it was glitched because it was taking so long, but eventually, the quest did check off as complete. The full chatting action must be complete for the mission to be finished, so let your Sim talk to the Royal Envoy for however long it takes to get it done.

There are plenty of other missions to get done in the Lost Legacies event after you call the Royal Envoy. Next, you might work on surprising the Royal Envoy, traveling to the Blue Velvet Nightclub to investigate, deciding whether you should forgive the Royal Envoy or not, and venturing to the Municipal Muses Museum.

Player aiming at other players in Marathon

One of the early contracts in Marathon requires you to scan the FTL Array at any USEC Radio Tower, and the task can be slightly tricky.

This is likely going to be your first contract where the game doesn’t tell you where you need to be. The task is actually rather simple once you know where you need to reach and be. This guide will simplify the process and allow you to get all the applicable rewards.

How to locate the FTL Array in Marathon

The first task is to receive and keep the contract active. As of writing, only a contract can be kept active at any given time. Once done, start a run. Ideally, I am finding it easier to complete contracts with teammates rather than going solo.

You begin on the Perimeter map since it’s part of the contract. Once the run begins, head to the Station location. While there can be more towers located in other parts of the map, the Station POI was the nearest one for me when I was about to complete this contract.

The Station is pretty easy to locate, but the same can’t be said about the FTL Array on the USEC Radio Tower. If you’re close to the tower, you’ll find the quest icon (yellow colored) appearing on your screen. The tower can be found about E 100 on the overhead compass. However, I have marked the exact location on the image below to make it easier for you. The location isn’t random, and you’ll always find the FTL Array at this location.

How to scan the FTL Array in Marathon

Once you’ve located the tower, use one of the attached ladders to climb up. Look for a blue-colored terminal, and it will have an interactable FTL Comms Chip on it. If you’re this close to the tower, you can simply follow the icon as well.

Interact with the FTL Array and complete the scan, and this will complete your contract. Once you end your run, you’ll be able to redeem all the applicable rewards as allotted by the contract.
