Bizzare Lineage Fighting Style & Sub Ability Tier List
The S-Tier fighting styles and sub-abilities in Bizzare Lineage are those with the best DPS and combo potential. As for the A-Tier category, it has options that are great alternatives but usually have either a weakness or deal less damage. The B-Tiers are the least optimal but can offer useful support options. There are currently no bad fighting styles and sub-abilities so C and D-Tier are empty.
S-Tier Styles & Subs
| S-Tier Styles & Specs | Why S-Tier | Trainer Location |
|---|---|---|
The Ripple Sub Ability |
• Ripple has the best stunning for combos • Sendo is a long-range stun that’s really fast and is great for both combo starting and extending • Scarlet Overdrive gives you a similar line stun but also mobility • The first move barrage also deals great damage and is overall really strong against Vampire Specs due to the damage boost |
Ancient Ghost Near Bus Station 13 Look for sunflowers |
Karate Fighting Style |
• In terms of fighting styles, Karate has the best combo extenders • Plus the air M2 is really strong for mobility and positioning • As for extenders Barrage is great after the final M1 and Tatsumaki combos from everything • Also, Tatsumaki and Sixth Massacre give you excellent mobility |
Karate Sensei Near Bus Station 15 |
A-Tier Styles & Subs
| A-Tier Styles & Specs | Why A-Tier | Trainer Location |
|---|---|---|
Vampire Sub Ability |
• Vampire has a great moveset where all moves heal you and you get an HP regen passive • I put it lower than Ripple just because Ripple has stronger stun moves • But Vampire also has a great moveset for combos with Space Ripper being a great combo ender or poke • Leeching Terror is also a great combo ender and Flash Freeze is a great starter or extender • Just note that if you play Vampire Ripple and Cyborg users will deal more damage to you |
Use a Stone/Vampire Mask Buy it from the shop Or get it from chests Then go to Elder Vampire Bus Station 18 Enter the gate Turn left to the cave before the big castle Go through the cave and go right to the chapel Elder Vampire is on the left in the chapel |
Boxing Fighting Style |
• Boxing is very skill-dependent due to its lower M1 range • To make up for it you get White Fang and Liver Crusher which are excellent combo extenders • Plus, Dempsey Roll is a powerful counter that’s a beginner crusher and pretty decent against experienced players with timing • Just make sure not to spam it against experienced players since it’s easy to punish |
Boxing Coach Bus Station 2 Go inside the Gym and up the stairs |
Kendo Fighting Style |
• Kendo has excellent range on M1s but it doesn’t have great extenders so it’s not S-Tier • Still it makes up for it with strong guardbreak moves • Silent Edge is great mobility and Rising Tempest is one of the best combo enders in the game • Combos really well with Anubis |
Samurai Master Bus Station 15 Go inside the Kame Yu Market nearby The NPC is near the center pillar |
B-Tier Styles & Subs
| B-Tier Styles & Specs | Why B-Tier | Trainer Location |
|---|---|---|
Half Human Half Machine Sub Ability |
• The HHHM moves by themselves are strong with good ranged AOE damage and the defense boost passive • That said, they don’t really combo well with other movesets • It’s a B-Tier sub ability that you can use for Missle Volley if you need some ranged AOE damage |
Rudol von Stroheim Near Bus Station 3 |
Bizzare Lineage Fighting Style and Sub Ability FAQ
Sub abilities modify your dash visuals and give you a passive along with 3 active abilities. Fighting styles also give you 3 active abilities and change your M1s and M2s via their corresponding weapons. You can combine them and use both one fighting style and one sub ability.
Vampire: All of your moves heal you and you gain a red meter that, when full, will regenerate your HP.
The Ripple: Gives slight passive regeneration and causes all your Ripple moves to deal bonus damage to players with the Vampires sub.
HHHM: Increases defense by 15% reducing incoming damage and deal more damage to Vampires with HHHM moves.
Yes, but you can only use one fighting style and one sub ability at a time.
Karate has the best combo potential in terms of fighting styles while The Ripple offers the greatest damage and stun potential in terms of sub abilities.
There are a few locations to farm Night Vampires and note that they spawn at night. One location is to go to Bus Stop 1 and head toward the Rengatei coffee shop building and go left when you reach the sunflower where you can find Night Vampires behind the trees. Next, go to the George NPC near Bus Station 11 (Camp near Kira raid). Lastly, Night Vampires can be spawned by the PVE quest board but it takes a while.
