The Division Resurgence brings four different Specializations by default for players to enjoy, and they’re not equal. Similar to how they work in the PC/console version, Ubisoft has simplified how each Specialization works in the game.
While we are still in the early days of the game, some Specializations are already proving to be stronger than the rest.
Disclaimer: Tech class to be assessed.
Complete The Division Resurgence Specialization tier list
To separate the Specializations, I have opted for two tiers. There are just four of them, and they’re all pretty balanced.
- S-tier choices are highly suitable for all players, and they’re extremely strong in terms of their offered skills and abilities.
- A-tier choices are pretty close to S-tier choices, but they have some limitations.
S-tier
- Vanguard: If you love using weapons of different types, this is teh best choice for you. You’ll be able to increase teh damage for your own build and all your allies. You can also use the abilities to create cover around you that reduces incoming damage. The Scanning Pulse ability also allows you to scout nearby areas with your gadget. The Vanguard is by far the best Specialization in my books.
- Demolitionist: This class offers the best amount of explosive crowd control among all options. You can use your Explosive Seeker Mine and the Artillery Turret to clear the enemies. Finally, you’ve the Grenade Launcher to clear enemies when they overpower you.
A-tier
- Bulwark: The Bulwark is the default tank option that offers the best chances of survivability. The shield allows you to reflect incoming damage, while the Shockwave Spike can paralyze enemies. Finally, you can use your signature to create a full shield, along with an automatic shotgun that’s great for taking down enemies at close range.
- Field Medic: If you’re playing in a team, the Field Medic becomes S-class. After all, you get options to heal your squad and help them survive incoming attacks. However, you do lack in potential damage, and the utility of your heals reduces if you’re playing solo.
