Though we’ve had some amazing The Lord of the Rings games over the years, a big-budget RPG title set in Tolkien’s Middle-earth has long eluded us, but that could be about to change. According to rumors, Kingdom Come: Deliverance developer Warhorse Studios is working on a big-budget LOTR game, seemingly backed by investors from the UAE.
Last October, Insider Gaming wrote that a huge The Lord of the Rings game was in development, backed by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office out of the United Arab Emirates, which reportedly invested $100 million into this supposed title. The IP is owned by Embracer Group, one of the parties said to be involved in this deal, and a publisher that previously had dealings with Arabian investors.
Now, a new rumor has cropped up suggesting it is Warhorse Studios, creator of Kingdom Come: Deliverance and a subsidiary of Embracer, that will be developing the game. As one user on Resetera pointed out, Ryszard Chojnowski, a Polish game development veteran, said he had heard that a big-time The Lord of the Rings game was in the works a few months ago, adding that indications of that happening have only increased recently.
“A few days ago, news literally broke that a so-called AAA title is in development, a major open-world game set in the Lord of the Rings universe, full of adventure and backed by substantial funding,” Chojnowski said in a Tolkien-themed podcast, Tolkien Polska (machine translated).
“Now investors from the United Arab Emirates have put up $100 million. A completely unknown studio called Revenge is handling it, though many people claim that this might just be a code name to throw people off and that Warhorse is actually making it,” he said, echoing claims first made by Insider Gaming back in October.
“I’ll tell you, I first heard the rumor that it might be Warhorse a few months ago, but I dismissed it. I mean, how could that possibly be?” he added.
“Now it’s come up again, and it makes more sense when you hear something repeated in the same context. So that would be wonderful, because I think that Warhorse, if you take a look at the graphics from Kingdom Come: Deliverance, at how beautifully the landscapes, forests, fields, ruins, castles, estates, and taverns are depicted there, you’ll understand that if they got together to create this game, it would certainly look mesmerizingly beautiful,” Chojnowski said.
“And they’re also masters at creating really interesting missions and storylines, so I think it would be a match made in heaven.”
Whether Warhorse is really behind this The Lord of the Rings game remains speculation for now, but as Chojnowski points out, this studio is full of very experienced developers who’ve proven their worth more than once with the Kingdom Come: Deliverance series, especially when it comes to making a game as beautiful as it can be while performing flawlessly across the board.
Where I’m a little worried is that, given its recent run-ins with AI and heavy pursuit of that technology, Warhorse’s writing, potentially the most important aspect of any Middle-earth story, could be adversely impacted and result in a subpar tale told in the most groundbreaking fantasy universe ever. That’s just me and all of my doom and gloom, and I would love to be wrong.
But, then again, expect nothing, and you won’t be disappointed.

Our beloved Scrappy is no longer the rooster that it was in ARC Raiders, and you can now feed it different items. The new feeding boost system is an extension of the default upgrade system since you can get bonuses.
This guide will state all the bonus rewards that you can get from feeding Scrappy with various food items.
All ARC Raiders Scrappy feeding boosts explained
There are two types of bonuses you can activate by feeding Scrappy. The table below has all the important information that you’ll need when trying to activate the boosts.
| Food item | Feeding Rewards | Resource Bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Agave | Mods/Mod crafting materials | Assorted Seeds |
| Apricot | Gunsmith material or equipment | Metal Parts |
| Fruit Mix | Better chance of finding Topside materials | Rubber Parts Fabric Chemicals Metal Parts Plastic Parts Assorted Seeds |
| Lemon | Explosive Station materials or equipment | Chemicals |
| Mushroom | Gear Bench materials or equipment | Plastic Parts |
| Olives | Medical lab materials or equipment | Fabric |
| Prickly Pear | Utility Station material or equipment | Rubber Parts |
Both the Feeding Rewards and Resource Bonus will be activated for one round once Scrappy has been fed. The bonuses and rewards will be determined by what you’re feeding Scrappy, and you can queue up to six different food items.
Once the round is finished, you’ll get your applicable rewards. The collection box has a limit, so check it after every round or two to see if Scrappy has managed to get anything valuable.
How to feed Scrappy in ARC Raiders
Once you have a food item, you can feed it to Scrappy. If you have extra, you can add it to the queue. That way, you won’t need to add the food item after every round manually. Once the round is over, you’ll get the bonus materials in the Collection Box.
Ideally, you should always feed food items that match your requirements (in terms of the offered bonuses).
