I’ll show you the best units in Anime Reversal for all roles as well as talk about the best traits for key units. The roles are Ground, Hill, Hybrid, Support and Farm. Here’s my Anime Reversal tier list and unit guide.
Table of contents
Anime Reversal
The best units in Anime Reversal are currently the S and A-Tier Ground units since there are no flying enemies. Don’t use Hill units at all and focus on getting Ruda, Red Hair and Ice Queen. Then focus on EVO-ing RedHair to Emperor and Awaken (see how below). SpeedCEO is always useful for farming gold in the background. Let’s analyze all units individually below.
Notes
- Legendary Units: There are no sleeper OP legendaries so I didn’t rank them, just use them to farm for your first Mythics and then replace them.
- Best Stats & EVO: I’m assuming the EVO versions of each unit for this tier list.
- Hill & Flying Enemies: There are currently no flying enemies in the game so Hill units are really bad since you can’t place them in optimal spots (Will rerank them once flying enemies are added).
- Shanks/RedHair EVO (Awaken): You need to find Shanks/RedHair NPC throughout the lobby and buy the Haki Hat EVO item for 10,000 Gems, 10 RR and 15,000 Gold to evo RedHair (Emperor). Traveller NPC will give hints about his location and whether he has spawned in your server. RedHair randomly spawns every 1 hour and disappears after 5 minutes.
S-Tier Hybrid
| S-Tier Hybrid | Ranking Explained |
|---|---|
Rio (Dancer) Mythic |
• Hybrid and Hill are currently just cosmetic since there are no flying units • That said unlike Hill, the Rio Hybrid is actually really good dealing impressive Circle AOE damage • Her passive to deal more damage to enemies below 30% HP is also excellent for finishing off mobs and bosses • She’s definitely a worthwhile off-DPS unit to include (Set her attack priority to lowest HP units) |
S-Tier Ground
| S-Tier Ground | Ranking Explained |
|---|---|
Ruda (Fist) Mythic |
• The best Ground unit in the game due to high DPS and Full AOE attacks • Also massively buffs itself with +% damage as the match goes on • Arguably the best unit in the game besides Shanks • Goes best with Elite trait |
Kirita (Dual/Order) Secret |
• Both Kirita EVOs are good but Dual deals more DPS since the passive is more reliable • Order is close behind but they’re both worth depending on what materials you want to grind • If you go Order run Zodiac • I recommend Dual though for a better passive |
A-Tier Ground
| A-Tier Ground | Ranking Explained |
|---|---|
RedHair (Emperor) Mythic |
• You want to invest in RedHair (Emperor) so that you can get the Awaken version that stuns • Even without the Awaken EVO stun, RedHair deals pretty impressive DPS • This is both because of the Full AOE attack mode and the King’s Presence passive • Goes best with Elite trait |
Igres (Elite) Secret |
• Igres should always be run with Song Woo for the passive synergy buff • With Song Woo, who is also good, they deal excellent combo damage • Plus, Igres deals a ton of damage to bosses |
Song Woo (Assassin) Mythic |
• Excellent reliable DPS that scales well as the round progresses due to passive • It’s not worth running Cha-In for the Link buff • Instead, run Igres once you get him so that he can receive the combo buff from Song Woo |
FireFist (Captian) Mythic |
• Not as much raw DPS as the others in this tier but the Burn damage adds up quick in crowds • Plus you then deal more damage to those with the Burn status effect • Goes well with Doom trait |
Bacchi (Rockstar) Secret/BattlePass Level 100 Unit |
• Excellent alternative AOE DPS • Plus you’re guaranteed to get Bacchi through the battlepass • Goes best with Luna or Silence traits to reduce SPA so that the passive can trigger more often |
B-Tier Ground
| B-Tier Ground | Ranking Explained |
|---|---|
Enjo (Golden) Mythic |
• Just a decent off-DPS that’s good for beginners • Nothing more to it |
Cha-In (Sword Dancer) Mythic |
• Low DPS and I wouldn’t run her ever in mid to late game • Has a Link with SJW so it’s a good beginner unit |
Hill
| Hill Units | Ranking Explained |
|---|---|
Jang-In (Flame Master) Mythic |
• Since there are no flying units now Hill units are just worse Ground units since you can’t place them in good spots • That said Jang-In deals better DPS than Goko so he’s better • And he also synergizes with Ace due to the Burn passive • Still, I wouldn’t run Hill units until flying enemies are added |
Goko (Super) Mythic |
• See Jang-In • Goko is just a worse Jang-In • Also the worst unit in the game until they add flying enemies so that Hill units can actually do their jobs |
S-Tier Support
| S-Tier Support | Ranking Explained |
|---|---|
RedHair (Awaken) Secret EVO |
• Check the gray text above for EVO info • The best unit in the game since he both deals massive AOE DPS and stuns enemies • The Stun ability stalls enemies so much that your other DPS units will have more time to deal massive damage |
IceQueen (Empress) Secret |
• A less explosive version of RedHair since her attacks stall enemies • Excellent support to freeze enemies for your main DPS units • SPA boosters are her best traits |
A/B-Tier Support
| A/B-Tier Hybrids | Ranking Explained |
|---|---|
Ame (Curse) Secret |
• Not a mandatory support but still good • It’s nice to have her since she can execute/insta-kill enemies at 10% HP or below • Place a few Ames near your main DPS units and set her attack priority to lowest HP • That way she’s a nice support to finish off enemies so that your main DPS units can switch to the next unit in line |

The Chapter 3 update in Dune Awakening has introduced the Specializations system that allows you to customize your endgame builds with plenty of freedom.
Specializations are endgame abilities that have different categories. You have to equip them based on what type of build you want to run. Plenty of XP is also required to unlock more Specializations, and getting all of them unlocked can be quite a grind.
