Anime Overload Tier List – Best Units & Traits

Anime Overload has a great spread of various unit types like pure DPS, supporting/debuff DPS units, cleanse units and farm units. Finding the right balance and team setup is key for late-game modes and challenges. Here’s my Anime Overload tier list for the best units and traits.

Anime Overload Best Units & Traits

The best units in Anime Overload for beginners are the non-Secret A-Tier DPS units while for late-game you want the S-Tiers. The B-Tiers are good alternatives but they’re a bit less flexibile than the higher tiers. Make sure to bring at least one or two Debuff DPS units since they deal great damage with various supporting effects. Let’s dive into each unit below and talk about what they’re good at and the best traits for them.

Best Units for Beginners: Sukuna and Bald Hero for Hybrid or Yuno if you need a quick Air.

Impure Stars Materials: Challenges and also Green (Ninja Leaf), Blue (Marine Fort), Yellow (Namek), Green (Sky Island), Purple/Red (Cursed Arena).

Farm: Get farm units ASAP.

Cleanse: These are easy-to-get units that cleanse status effects (Great supports for harder stages).

Best Traits: Overloaded is generally your best bet for DPS but you want Voidborn on units that apply debuffs on-hit so that you can spread out the CC effects.

S-Tier DPS

Unit	Ranking Explanation
Crimson Queen (Dominant) Secret	• Late-game Meta DPS unit • Stacks damage buffs and gains massive crit when CCed • Also deals heavy bleed damage with both her abilities and her ultimate • The ultimate shreds bosses Best Trait: Overloaded
Streliana (True Maiden) Secret	• Another late-game Meta DPS • Streliana deals great bleed, overall DPS and stuns enemies • Plus, when surrounded by 20+ enemies, she chaining AOE attacks • I prefer CQ over Streliana because she can stun herself with her abilities and ultimate but she still deals a ton of damage Best Trait: Overloaded
Kaitou (Scythe)	• Even though Strongest Alien and Sukuna might better I still love Kaitou since he’s much easier to get • He deals amazing bleed damage for bosses and has an execute ability for low HP mobs • Best budget Meta unit in the game • Scythe is the best option then Trinity then Hammer then Gun Best Trait: Voidborn

S-Tier Debuff DPS

Unit	Ranking Explanation
Red Hair (Conqueror) Secret Gryphon – Marine Fortress Act 3 + Sky Island Act 3	• Tons of damage and tons of stuns • Has auto-crits and overall is a Meta unit Best Trait: Overloaded
Susano (Indra) Secret Unit – Act 3 Ninja Leaf Chakra Bolt – Act 2 Ninja Leaf	• A must-have Meta DPS that has a stunning aura • Plus you get a strong Air option Best Trait: Overloaded
Goju (Unlimited) Mythic Azure Eyes – Act 3 Cursed Arena	• Tons of utility with enemy slows and reducing their buffs • Pierces shields • The ultimate is a massive AOE stun which is a great supporting ability • Plus, he has great AOE damage for clearing crowds Best Trait: Voidborn
Ener (Lightning) Mythic Lightning Drums – Act 2 Sky Island	• Has a ton of AOE damage and stuns to stall enemies • Also has great self buffs as he progresses his Vari Bar • At max bar you can do an AOE stun similar to Goju so Ener is a great support to bring Best Trait: Overloaded
Sosoke (RS) Mythic Purple Eyes – Act 1 Ninja Leaf	• Amazing utility unit for both Ground damage and stalling enemies • You get slows with trance • You also get damage amplification for all your units when Sosoke marks them with dark flame • Excellent support unit Best Trait: Voidborn

A-Tier DPS

Unit	Ranking Explanation
Strongest Alien (Burst) Secret	• A sub-meta unit that’s a bit harder to get but otherwise deals a ton of damage • I put him slightly below CQ and Streliana since I think they’re stronger • But Strongest Alien is still amazing Hybrid damage Best Trait: Overloaded
Sokona (Domain) Mythic Cursed Finger – JJK Legend Stage/Cursed Arena Act 2	• An alternative to Strongest Alien • Sokona deals a ton of AOE burst damage both with base abilities and ult • A great Hybrid option to get ASAP Best Trait: Nullshot
Bald Hero (Super Serious) Mythic 100% Shopping Coupon – Act 2 Namek	• Amazing beginner unit for a quick Hybrid DPS • Excellent boss killer • You want him at the front for constant attacks to proc his crit buffs • The ultimate destroys shields and stuns which is amazing utility Best Trait: Overloaded
Imperial Silver (Prime) Mythic Shake Fruit – Marine Fortess Act 1 + Sky Island Act 1	• A decent unit to bring for Repel and stalling enemy units • A mix of support and DPS • Great to bring for farming Evolve materials Best Trait: Voidborn

A/B-Tier Debuff DPS

Unit	Ranking Explanation
Kaitou (Hammer) Mythic	• A decent DPS/Support mix with the Stuns • Scythe and Trinity deal better DPS though Best Trait: Voidborn
Kid Psychic (99%) Mythic	• Gains buffs each Wave and if nearby enemies get CCed • Once fully stacked becomes a great DPS/Support unit • The support power mainly comes from the Repel effects to stall enemies Best Trait: Voidborn
Death Surgeon (Operation) Mythic Surgeons Cap – Marine Fortress Act 2	• Not a priority to rush Evolving but has nice supporting options with the slow • A decent support Ground DPS mix
Yono (Spirit) Mythic	• Great beginner Air unit to rush and Evo • A mix of DPS and slowing Best Trait: Voidborn

B-Tier DPS

Unit	Ranking Explanation
Devil Knight (Berserk) Mythic	• Great Hybrid DPS alternative to the higher tiers • Would be higher if he stacked his ability faster and had a higher chance for his double attacks • A bit situational since you need Physical/Dark/True units to benefit from his AOE damage buff Best Trait: Overloaded
Jaken Hunter (Adult) Mythic	• A jack of all trades with decent DPS and stuns but a master of none • Decent to have but not the best unit to bring Best Trait: Overloaded
Maine (Final Push) Mythic	• Probably one of the weaker Hybrid units DPS-wise but still a Hybrid which is the most useful unit type
Greye (Frost) Mythic	• One of the better Ground DPS units without Overloaded • You want Voidborn because the more copies you have the more you can spread out the status effect • More status effect = more DPS on Greye Best Trait: Voidborn
Tojee Legendary	• Not the most powerful raw DPS-wise but a quick access to shield breaking which is incredibly useful

C-Tier DPS

Unit	Ranking Explanation
Chain Man (Psychotic) Mythic	• One of the weakest Mythics IMO • Just a stat check difference
Natso (Fire & Lightning) Legendary	• Decent Burn damage but there are better options • Can be sometimes useful for elemental weaknesses and Burn synergy
Vegetable (Almighty) Legendary	• A weaker version of Kaitou’s Scythe execute • Can be decent for beginners as long as you keep him towards the front for constant attacks
