There are many ways to earn rewards in Heartopia, and you can get more resources by unlocking and completing Dreams.
Dreams are different from standard Hobbies, but they work in the same way. Every Dream involves completing different activities that can be done solo or with your in-game buddies.

How to unlock Dreams in Heartopia
The key to unlocking Dreams is hidden behind raising your D.G. Member’s Guild level. To be precise, you’ll need to reach D.G. Member’s Guild level 16, which unlocks Dreams and the Book Writing activity (required for completing Dreams).
At first, you’ll only unlock Dreams, but you won’t have anything to complete. Slowly, you’ll get more unlocks for Puzzles, Writing, and Music. These unlocks will allow you to access more abilities. To complete Dreams, you’ll simply need to take part in them regularly. Doing so will also fetch you additional rewards, including currencies and more.
All Dreams in Heartopia
In the current build of Heartopia, there are three Dreams to unlock.
Puzzle Dream
This Puzzle Dream is all about solving different puzzles, which can be bought from Ka ching. She will have new puzzle options daily, and completing them will allow you to progress along this particular hobby. While you can do so by completing any puzzle, target XL and Large puzzles for the best results.
Writing Dream
This Dream allows you to publish your own works for other players if they want to read. You can learn more about this Dream from Mrs. Joan, and you can purchase the Writing Desk from Ka Ching. You’ll find a quest called Pen to Paper. Complete the quest to learn everything related to publishing your own books.
Music Dream
While Dreams are unlocked at D.G. Member level 16, you’ll need to hit level 17 to unlock Phonograph Mode. This also begins the Melody’s Echo questline: speak with Annie, and keep following the quests to get your Phonograph.
Once you place the Phonograph in your home, record a song on it. Then, burn the music to a CD, and your creation is all set to be made available to other members. You can also choose to try out other musical instruments if you’re looking to complete specific Dream goals.

It has now been a week since Hytale emerged from the dead and entered into its early access program, finally giving its fans a taste of this long-awaited experience. It’s already receiving praise across the board, despite its rather limited (and reasonably so) content breadth, and its creator couldn’t be happier.
“It’s now been seven days since early access launch and I can confidently say that I have no regrets [for] saving Hytale,” said the game’s original creator Simon Collins-Laflamme on X, who sold the IP to Riot Games and bought it back from the company last November. “It’s been the most challenging but rewarding experience of my life,” he added.
Collins-Laflamme went on to thank everyone who has participated in the early access launch thus far, and especially highlighted the Hytale development team that managed to bring the game from near-death to a playable, early-access-ready state in just a couple of months.
The title truly has had a wild ride. It was first announced in late 2018, but would end up in development hell for seven long years. All sorts of issues bogged down its development before it was eventually cancelled, with Collins-Laflamme stepping in to try and save it from demise. He would succeed by November 2025, and end up bringing the game to eager fans by mid-January.
That’s a Biblical journey if there ever was one, and I’m glad to see it doing so well.
Cool concepts, ideas, and innovations that strive to break the monotony and dominance of single entities (in this case Minecraft) only stand to make all our lives better, so it would have been a tremendous loss for everyone if Hytale wound up as just “the game that could.”
