The final bit of Subnautica 2‘s storyline, as of writing, involves reviving a massive turbine at the Power Center. You’ll find the location at Angel Ruins near the fourth Angel Comb. There’s a bit of a puzzle to solve, so let’s get to it.
How to turn on the Alien Turbine in Subnautica 2
There are a lot of tasks you’ll need to complete before you can turn on the turbine. First, you’ll need to have unlocked the fourth Angel Comb since it allows you to interact with Axum technology. We have the guide ready to help you solve the related puzzle. In short, you’ll need to shoot four sets of infected Bloom Clankers (each set has a fair) to revive the adult Angel Comb located at the base of the Power Center.
Once done, turn 180 degrees from the Angel Comb, and you’ll find a terminal hub. Head inside and interact with the terminal (pretty easy) to release the locks. Next, head upwards, and you’ll come across another terminal.
Here, you’ll find a main terminal, with two more on each side. The one on the left gets activated, but the one on the right will show that a part of the turbine is broken. Head straight towards the broken turbine, and you’ll find the recipe to repair it.
First, scan the broken part (the highlighted part) with your Bioscanner. Then use the Habitat Builder to commit the required resources. Once you’ve rebuilt the turbine, head inside the hub to activate the locked terminal.
Once the turbine is active, head to the Research Outpost area at the beginning of the Alien Ruins. You’ll notice that the entrance to the tower is now open. Head inside and interact with the Axum door. Go into the next room, and scan the Orrary with your Bioscanner.
Finally, return to your base and interact with Noa to read the message that you just unlocked. This will solve the puzzle that involves the broken turbine, and you’ll learn more about what has happened.

The Bioscanner is a pretty important tool in Subnautica 2, and we will need to unlock it to reach the end of the campaign in the early access. Moreover, we can also use it to scan alien lifeforms, which gives us more perks like extra Biomods.
Like most things inside the game, we will have to find the blueprint for this item before we get to use it.

Bioscanner blueprint location in Subnautica 2
To unlock the Bioscanner, we need to scan just one blueprint. However, we will have to travel all the way to the fourth Angel Comb in the Alien Ruins. From there, keep moving upwards until you come across a crashed Alterra starship wreck.
You can refer to the image above to find the entrance. You’ll need the Repair Tool to proceed since one of the key doorways will be inaccessible at first. Repair the door, and head to the next room. Take the door on your left in this room, and go to the next one.
You’ll find an Iso in this room resting on a dining table and an upgrade for your Tadpole submarine. Look carefully at the corner, and you’ll find a hole that goes through a chamber. Follow the chamber until you reach the end, and you’ll come across the Bioscanner. Use your Scanner to unlock the blueprint.
How to craft the Bioscanner in Subnautica 2
The Bioscanner is an upgrade over your Scanner, and you’ll need the Modification Station. You’ll also need the required resources to craft the Bioscanner. This item scans quicker, and it also allows you to check out certain lifeforms that aren’t detected by the ordinary scanner.
Moreover, you’ll also need the Bioscanner to scan the broken turbine before you can activate it to reach the end of the game (as of writing).
