No matter how well Campaign Evolved does, Halo is still getting another two remakes

Even if the upcoming Halo: Campaign Evolved doesn’t do well on the market, the series is nevertheless getting another pair of remakes that’ll bring Halo 2 and 3 to the Unreal Engine. The former is scheduled to release this year and will apparently only be the beginning of Halo Studios’ remake run.

This is according to YouTuber Rebs Gaming (via Eurogamer), who said that all three games are in active development at Halo Studios, with Halo 2 and Halo 3 remakes to release, no matter how well Campaign Evolved ends up doing. “One of my new sources sent me proof to verify themselves and that the trilogy remakes are definitely happening, regardless of how well Campaign Evolved does,” Rebs Gaming said in his video.

Apparently, the prequel missions that are to appear in Campaign Evolved are to contain content from the second and third games, such as the Brutes, which will serve as hints toward these upcoming remakes. This, however, couldn’t be confirmed by Rebs Gaming, so it remains to be seen. Halo really hasn’t been at its best for many years now, after several games failed to captivate broader audiences and meet player expectations. The first three games in the franchise are revered as some of the best first-person shooters ever made, both due to their great multiplayer and their emotional, impactful storytelling.

In fact, I’d even say that Halo‘s best aspect is the narrative, as it focuses on heroic and epic tales of glory and sacrifice. It’s not a boomer shooter or a mindless FPS experience where clearing arenas of all the enemies is key, but rather a series of games that try to tell a very good story first and tack the great gunplay onto that narrative foundation. Just hearing that theme song gives me chills and tells me right away what kind of tone and emotion I am to experience throughout a strong, well-structured campaign.

So, suffice it to say that I am excited to see Halo brought back and opened up to new players, even though we already have the Master Chief Collection that ported all the most important Halo games to PC. Some of them were also remastered, while the port is generally pretty good. Nevertheless, if the first one is getting remade, then the whole trilogy should be, too.

Far Far West has a really unique music easter egg to solve as you get to unlock an exclusive song, but to do so, you’ll need to find Music Disc Fragments on the Desert map. Since this map is unlocked from the start, you can start looking for the fragments as early as you want.

Let’s find out where you can locate all the fragments to unlock the song.

All Music Disc Fragment locations in Far Far West

You’ll come across three fragments spread across the Desert map. There’s no fixed order to find them, which makes things easier. You can also collect them across multiple runs. The image below has the locations of all three disc fragments. Thankfully, their locations are always predetermined, making things much more convenient.

The first one is located in the middle of the Desert map, and you’ll find it on an open mountain. The mountain is in an oasis surrounded by trees. Since the fragment is in the open, you should be able to notice it easily as long as you’re at the spot marked as “1” in the image above.
The second one is preset at the top of the pyramids in the northeastern region of the map. Head inside from the northern side entrance to get the fragment.
Located on the eastern side of the map, you’ll find a wooden tower. Take the ladder to reach the top, and you’ll find the fragment there.

While some collectibles remain hidden from the open, the fragments are easy to locate. Once you finish all three, you’ll unlock the Train Rush track. You’ll find it in the store near the Weapons Vendor and play it from over there.
