Chapter Seven, season two, is steadily expanding upon the number of Chaos Cubes present around the Fortnite island. To finish this large, looming quest, you have to recover quite a lot of them, including quite a few found at Ripped Tides.
For each portion of the larger Chaos Cube scavenger hunt, you’re given a general area to search. It’s not quite enough information to track down each one, though, so here’s how to find Chaos Cubes in or around Ripped Tides in Fortnite.

Find Chaos Cubes in or around Ripped Tides in Fortnite
To finish the find Chaos Cubes in or around Ripped Tides mission, you need to locate and gather a total of five Chaos Cubes around the Ripped Tides POI. You can find this main POI situated near the bottom left corner of the Chapter Seven, season two map.
Chaos Cubes are small, shiny orange blocks scattered all around the island. They’re not marked, so tracking them down for the find and collect all Chaos Cubes mission is fairly difficult. Once you’re in the general vicinity of one, you’ll spot a small white diamond icon marking its precise location, helping you navigate right to it.
All Ripped Tides Chaos Cube locations in Fortnite
The Ripped Tides region has five Chaos Cubes you can locate and collect. Here’s where to find each one.
- The first Chaos Cube can be found right outside a small metal building on the hill located slightly east of Ripped Tides. This one is inside a wooden box that’s up against it. Use your pickaxe to break the box and claim the Chaos Cube.
- The second Chaos Cube can be found next to a small wooden shed up on a hill that’s a bit north of Ripped Tides. You’ll spot it inside a bush near the right side of the shed. Swing at the bush using your pickaxe to grab it.
- The third Chaos Cube is sitting underneath a statue in the skate park area located near the middle west end of Ripped Tides. Look for the statue of Fishstick standing precariously on a broken surfboard over a shark’s mouth. The Chaos Cube can be found in the shark’s mouth right beneath the surfboard.
- The fourth Chaos Cube can be found on the beach area slightly south of the main Ripped Tides region. This one is sitting on top of a blue cooler next to a red chair and underneath a pink umbrella.
- The fifth Chaos Cube is inside a graffiti-covered building located near the central Ripped Tide area, near the east end, which is the region that has lots of different buildings. Look for the brick wall that has a few purple tentacles painted on it, then hop through the window to head inside. You’ll spot the Chaos Cube sitting on a tattooing chair in the corner nearby.
With this mission now complete, you can move on to searching New Sanctuary for more Chaos Cubes. Or, if you’d like a break from this quest series, you can instead tackle other tricky missions like riding on a player’s shoulders to gather intel on their movements, finding The Foundation’s lost helmet and cape, and decrypting a recording from The Imagined at a holotable.
