As Crimson Desert continues to see a ton of success 10 days after launch, players are now praising developer Pearl Abyss for how quickly it’s been addressing issues since the moment the game released. With this latest patch, a lot of concerns were directly resolved, improved, or patched out, while some quirks were even embraced as official mechanics.
Soaring through the Steam charts and peaking at over 270,000 players, Crimson Desert is definitely faring a lot better than it did on launch day. It even managed to rebound its Steam reviews, now being labeled as “very positive”—a significant upgrade over its initial “mixed” reception. And all of this has to do with Pearl Abyss’ patches, which have improved the game to such a degree that I find myself feeling as if I’m playing a different game, especially coming off the review build.
This latest patch added five entirely new mounts to the game, made sprinting a lot less of a hassle by reducing how much button mashing you need to do (a major complaint since release), made cooking more intuitive, made fast travel much faster, and even added certain currencies that make the upgrade process a lot cheaper and easier early on. This is just scratching the surface, though, and fans have been reacting more than positively since it came out.
In one thread, a player said that “This is what game studios should aspire to be,” praising Pearl Abyss for addressing the sprinting mechanic mentioned above. “Shout out to the devs for listening to people,” said another.
Some showed that you can never please everyone despite your best efforts, as those replying to the thread said, in no small number, that they preferred how things were before the patch. I’m certain this will eventually lead to Pearl Abyss adding in optional control schemes once everything is fleshed out, allowing everyone to tailor their own fun to themselves, much as the game lets you do things at your own pace and leisure.
In another thread, a player said about Pearl Abyss that “they listen, and they deliver,” as well as that it’s the “best dev team ever.”
“They really do. Love the changes,” said another.
It’s certainly amazing to see a developer team actually invest the time and effort necessary to make its game as good as it can possibly be. It’s gotten to the point where so many player complaints have been fixed or just made better that the game now has an 80 percent positive rating on Steam and is slowly but surely climbing in player numbers despite being a singleplayer game that came out 10 days ago.
I love to see it, even if I myself don’t agree with all the changes that have been made. Other developers need to take note.

The White Bear, the Silver Fang, and the Snowwhite Deer are three new Legendary mounts you can find in Crimson Desert following the 1.00.1 update. All of them are permanent additions that you can summon to use by your side.
However, you’ll need to unlock them first before you get to use them. If you have already defeated them, you can find the related rewards from the ‘Extra Rewards List’. If not, then read on to find their locations.

How to get the White Bear in Crimson Desert
To find the White Bear, you’ll have to travel close to the Five Finger Mountain near the White Waste Sanctuary. You can use the nearby Abyss Nexus, and there’s a range of cliffs where you’ll find the White Bear along with its cub.
Just like any ordinary bear, the White variant is extremely dangerous. First, try to lure it away from the cliff so that you don’t get thrown to your death. Then, keep fighting the White Bear until it loses all its energy, and be careful not to get caught by its paws.
How to find the Snowwhite Deer in Crimson Desert
You ned to head to the Sanctum of Solace in the marked area. Here, you’ll find the deer with fawns. If you approach it directly, the deer will run away. First, use your Aerial Force Palm ability and then use Glide to follow the animal. This will allow you to pursue the creature and bring down its HP to add it to your collection.
How to find the Silver Fang in Crimson Desert
To get the Silver Fang, you’ll need to complete faction quests in Hernand. Doing so will then allow you to access the Legendary Wolf quest. The quest proceeds with you fighting the Black Fang. Defeat it, and you’ll be able to find Silver Fang in the Howling Hollow cave.
Reach the marked location above, and you’ll find your wolf along with smaller ones. Again, don’t let it run away, and use a weapon that allows you to keep a decent range. Reduce its stamina, and you’ll be able to get the Silver Fang. This creature is definitely worth the grind since it will help you out in combat.
