The Voltage Converter has been a rare item to find in ARC Raiders, and its demand has been high for several reasons.
The Shrouded Sky update has made it more important for you to find the Voltage Converter to complete the Weather Monitor System project. Let’s look at where you can find the item in the first place.
Table of contents
Best locations for Voltage Converter in ARC Raiders
The Voltage Converter is an electrical item, so you’ll need to look for areas tagged as the same. All five maps have areas tagged Electrical, and those zones will have higher odds of spawning the Voltage Converter.
If you want to zero down to specific maps, you can try your luck on either the Dam Battlegrounds or the Stella Montis map. If you’re on the Dam Battlegrounds map, go to the northern part of the map. The Power Generation Complex has plenty of electrical items you can get as loot. You’ll also find the newly-added Controlled Access Zone that can help you with more loot once you solve the puzzle.
If you’re on Stella Montis, there are multiple zones to check out. Specifically, you’ll want to check out the Lobby, the Tunnels, and the Communications.
If you want more options, the Fuel Control Tower in Spaceport and the Pilgrim’s Peak on Blue Gate are great locations to check.
If you don’t want ot rely on your luck, you can simply go to the Traders tab and speak with Celese. She sells five Voltage Converters daily, with each costing 10 Assorted Seeds.
You can also obtain a Voltage Converter by recycling the following items.
- Heavy Shield
- Industrial Charger
- Ion Sputter
- Signal Amplifier
How to use Voltage Converter in ARC raiders
You’ll need three Voltage Converters to complete the Weather Monitor System project. You’ll need the item in the final stage of the project. Submitting the items will get you a Tactical Mk. 3 Revival augment, and the group rewards (1 Anemometer Backpack Charm and 250 Raider Tokens).
You’ll also need the Voltage Converter to produce the following items.
- Heavy Shield (Requires Power Rod and Voltage Converter)
- Showstopper (Requires Electrical Components, Hornet Driver, and Voltage Converter)
The Showstopper is great at hindering bigger ARCs, so try to gather as much Voltage Converter as possible.

One of the early contracts in Marathon requires you to scan the FTL Array at any USEC Radio Tower, and the task can be slightly tricky.
This is likely going to be your first contract where the game doesn’t tell you where you need to be. The task is actually rather simple once you know where you need to reach and be. This guide will simplify the process and allow you to get all the applicable rewards.
How to locate the FTL Array in Marathon
The first task is to receive and keep the contract active. As of writing, only a contract can be kept active at any given time. Once done, start a run. Ideally, I am finding it easier to complete contracts with teammates rather than going solo.
You begin on the Perimeter map since it’s part of the contract. Once the run begins, head to the Station location. While there can be more towers located in other parts of the map, the Station POI was the nearest one for me when I was about to complete this contract.
The Station is pretty easy to locate, but the same can’t be said about the FTL Array on the USEC Radio Tower. If you’re close to the tower, you’ll find the quest icon (yellow colored) appearing on your screen. The tower can be found about E 100 on the overhead compass. However, I have marked the exact location on the image below to make it easier for you. The location isn’t random, and you’ll always find the FTL Array at this location.
How to scan the FTL Array in Marathon
Once you’ve located the tower, use one of the attached ladders to climb up. Look for a blue-colored terminal, and it will have an interactable FTL Comms Chip on it. If you’re this close to the tower, you can simply follow the icon as well.
Interact with the FTL Array and complete the scan, and this will complete your contract. Once you end your run, you’ll be able to redeem all the applicable rewards as allotted by the contract.
