As you advance through your Subnautica 2 playthrough, you’ll gradually notice more broken-down equipment and tools scattered around the map. While you may ignore these early on, making a repair tool can help you fix them up and use them.

How to get the Repair Tool in Subnautica 2
Obtaining the repair tool requires scanning three broken repair tools around Subnautica 2’s ocean with your scanner. Doing this advances your blueprint progress, with three entries unlocking its respective crafting recipe in your Fabricator.
Repair Tool blueprint fragment location #1
The first repair tool blueprint fragment becomes accessible during Subnautica 2’s main storyline. NOA will guide you to Chap’s blackbox 220 meters south of the Lifepod. Here, you’ll find a hidden cave room full of items you can scan. Among these is a broken repair tool atop a table.
Repair Tool blueprint fragment location #2
You can find your second repair tool blueprint fragment near Chap’s blackbox. By traveling 250 meters southeast of the Lifepod, you’ll encounter a large ruined structure underwater to explore. After heading inside, you’ll spot the repair tool on a set of benches.
Repair Tool blueprint fragment location #3
The final repair tool blueprint fragment is located within a ruined building 350 meters northeast of the Lifepod. By heading below the building, swimming up through an entrance at the bottom of it’s base, and turning toward two closed doorways, you’ll spot the repair tool on the floor, ready to scan.
This location is deep in the water, so I’d recommend upgrading your air tank for increased oxygen. Otherwise, you run the risk of running out of oxygen unless you pack some extra air bladders.
Repair Tool crafting recipe in Subnautica 2
Once you scan all three repair tools, you’ll unlock its crafting recipe within your Fabricator. You’ll need the following materials to make the repair tool:
- Titanium Ingot (1)
- Wiring Kit (1)
- Basic Battery (1)
- Sulfur (1)
All three of these items are tricky to obtain, especially if you’re still in the early game. Titanium ingots require acquiring and building a processor, while wiring kits are available to craft in your Fabricator using silver and copper wire. Similarly, you can find basic batteries inside storage crates or craft it using copper ore and Acidic Raion Pouches.
The hardest material to obtain is Sulfur, as it spawns exclusively within the high temperature volcanic biome east of the Lifepod. To access it, you’ll need the Heat Tolerance Adaptation from the Bloom-infested Angel Comb west of the Lifepod.

Treasure Car 1: 1991 Nissan Figaro
Located right near the Rainbow Bridge in the southern half of Tokyo City, the Nissan Figaro is an absolute classic. There’s only one car park in the region, and the Figaro is parked in it. You’ll want to set the GPS to the road in front of the marked location to find the park.
Treasure Car 2: Dodge Charger GT
The Dodge Charger GT is situated behind the clubhouse in the golf course. Reach the marked spot, and you should find it waiting at the end of the course.
Treasure Car 3: Mazda RX-7
The Mazda RX-7 is located at the only spot in Ohtani where you can find the radio towers. You’ll find the car in a parking lot in the middle of the towers.
Treasure Car 4: Porsche 959
To reach the marked spot, take the road that separates from the main one. You’ll then reach the parking lot where the Porsche will be waiting. You’ll also find the convenience store nearby, which is part of the clue.
Treasure Car 5: BMW M1
The car is located along one of the many railroad bridges you find in this region.
Treasure Car 6: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR
The car is located near the waterfall. Go to the western part, and you’ll find a dirt road that goes high up the hill. The car will be located on the same mound.
Treasure Car 7: Lancia Stratos HF Stradale
If you reach the marked spot, you’ll find a lodge house located in the mountainous region. The car will be parked next to this house.
Treasure Car 8: Ford GT 2005
