Marvel Rivals’ newest PvE mode Blood Hunt brings Kingpin, Dracula, and a whole lot of enemy density

Marvel Rivals Kingpin Blood Hunt

The huge success of Marvel Rivals’ first PvE mode, Marvel Zombies, means the co-op gameplay is not going anywhere any time soon. And thank Khonshu for that.

NetEase Games’ new spin on co-op PvE is called Blood Hunt, and it’s coming this week. And you know what? It looks even better than Zombies because it’s adding vampires along with new boss fights with characters like Werewolf Captain America, Ratatoskr, Dracula, and even Wilson Fisk AKA Kingpin.

Playable heroes in the mode include The Punisher, Squirrel Girl, Thor, Moon Knight, Jeff the Land Shark, and Blade, all with a swath of four slots to equip gear in that customize your builds with different effects. This looks like an extension of the round-to-round power-ups available in Marvel Zombies.

But most importantly, holy crap, the enemy density looks so satisfying. Marvel Zombies did a good job with that, combining a huge number of enemies with different abilities that enabled someone like Blade to chain attacks endlessly while draining HP in such satisfying ways that NetEase was forced to keep the mode around longer than originally planned due to how popular it became. It just feels so good to mow down hordes of enemies.

Blood Hunt is leaning into the enemy density with large amounts of both vampires (and bats) and zombies, bigger damage numbers popping up all over the screen, and new boss fights with some iconic villains. You can check it out in the trailer below, but basically, it looks like an even better PvE mode than the game had before, and potentially way deeper, too.

This time, it seems to even be leaning into playable lore, too. With Kingpin being teased as the final boss, the mayor of New York seems prepared to exert his will on the heroes to go along with this season’s storyline in Manhattan.

Either way, I’m stoked to give this mode a try. I played Marvel Zombies quite a bit, so if this is an improvement on that, I may be back on Rivals full-time, or at least until this mode gets taken offline after it begins on April 23.

Players exploring the world of Windrose

Tanned Leather is one of the more important resources in Windrose, and it has different purposes. Obtaining this leather isn’t too difficult, but you’ll need to clear a fair bit of in-game content and build an additional item.

Let’s find out how you can get a steady supply of Tanned Leather in the game.

How to get Tanned Leather in Windrose

Tanned Leather can be crafted in Windrose. For starters, you’ll need to collect raw hides. Raw hide can be obtained quite easily, but you’ll need to hunt. If you’re in the early game stage, either wolves or deer work. They’re not so dangerous, and you can kill them quite easily. You’ll also need your skinning knife in hand to get the hide.

Now that you have your hide, you’ll need to get a Tanning Rack. This item has to be unlocked via its recipe, and it allows you to dry raw hide. This process is necessary when you want to convert raw hide into Tanned Leather.

You can make Clay Bottles from the Alchemy Table. Once it’s done, you can now make Tannin with Hardwood Bark and a Clay Bottle. You’ll need this item for the production of Tanned Leather.

Once you have built and placed your Tanning Rack, add the raw hide to one of its slots. Add either a tanning agent or a source of fuel that will be consumed during the process. If you have Tannin, it will work just fine.

You’ll need to wait for some time for the process to complete. Once done, you’ll have your Tanned Leather.

How to use Tanned Leather in Windrose

Tanned Leather has plenty of use when it comes to crafting armor. Almost every mid and end-game item will need Tanned Leather. The demand for it goes up once you unlock Foothills, which is the second biome in the game.

However, you can start collecting the required materials like Clay and Rough Hides early to make things easier when you’ll actually need Tanned Leather in your inventory.
