The camel is a brand-new mount you can find in the Soulmask Shifting Sands update, and it’s a perfect companion to survive the harsh nature of the desert. It can travel the sand-filled land in an adept fashion, and also offer you extra storage space for your items.
However, having a camel as a mount isn’t an easy task. It begins with capturing the creature in the wild.

To catch the camel, you’ll need to be at a spot where they roam. The Rockhenge Desert is a consistent spawn zone where you’ll find them around the rock formations.
When you want to get a camel mount, you’ll have to look for the babies. The adults can be trapped, but they can’t be tamed. When you’re trying to catch a kid, an adult will try to interfere and stop your efforts. To catch a camel, you’ll need a medium trap, which has to be unlocked from the Technology tab. Once done, you’ll need to craft at least four traps and add them to your inventory.
You’ll also need bait to set in the trap. To capture camels, you’ll need Figs. Figs can be found in barbarian camps like Moon Bay. You can also find them randomly while looting containers.
How to capture a camel in Soulmask
Once you’ve spotted a baby camel, try to lure away the adult camels. Do so before planting the traps so that they don’t accidentally activate them. Now, try to anticipate the path of the baby camel and set the trap (with the bait inside). Set multiple ones because it’s nearly impossible to predict where the baby will go accurately.
Keep your distance and wait for the baby camel to approach a trap. Once it’s inside and touches the fig, the trap will automatically activate. Interact immediately with the trap to get your baby camel.
Incidentally, you can also find baby camels from barbarian camps. However, this method is reliant on luck, so you can’t depend on it.
How to use the camel as a mount in Soulmask
To use the camel as a mount, you’ll need a cradle. But first, you have to help your camel grow up by taking care of it. Provide figs and water via containers or troughs. If you fail to take care of its needs, it might even die.
To craft the saddle, you’ll need the following materials.
- 20 Leather
- 10 Leather Rope
- 15 Gauze
- 10 Thin Rope
Once the saddle is made at a armor forging table, you can then equip it on your camel to use it as a mount. Additionally, you can also equip a wicker basket to boost its default storage capacity.

[hurrytimer id=”1204025″]
The countdown is based on the following timings.
- 3am PT
- 5am CT
- 6am ET
- 11am UTC
- 12pm CET
The timings are based on the information available on SteamDB. If there are any changes, I will duly update them on the guide.
What to expect from Tap Tap Loot
In Tap Tap Loot, you progress with every click and keystroke. You play as your own cat hero who embarks on an adventure of epic proportions. At the start, your hero will be extremely weak in terms of its stats and abilities. However, the more you type and click, the more your characters grow.
No two heroes are the same, and you can choose from 200 unique items. There are different classes and weapons to utilise if you want to do that. You’ve entire freedom to decide how your character plays in the game.
You’ll come across different enemies spread across six unique biomes. Some will be easy to deal with, while the others will be harder to hit. If you want to play it safe, you can invite your players in up to 4-player co-op and share the spoils. If you’re still unsure about the game, you can try the free demo that’s available on Steam.
